Professor Beard Shampoo & Magnetic Soap Holder Men's Grooming Gift Kit

I had a problem with beard flake that I could just not get rid of. I use beard oil and beard balm and nothing seem to help, or even lessen, the bear dandruff from snowing like a winter storm. After some research I discovered that head shampoo is one of the worst things I can use on my beard. I even tried the dandruff shampoo and it made no difference at all. So, I decided to do some research and discovered beard shampoo was the thing to use. beard shampoo and hair shampoo are totally different animals entirely as they serve different purposes. I decided to hit the internet and researched the best beard shampoo to try and Professor Fuzzworthy's Beard Shampoo was at the top of several list. When I bought this shampoo I was a little confused at the cube of soap I received. This has the extra side benefit of lasting much longer than a liquid shampoo when used. I also got the magnetic shower holder to keep the bar out of the water. If it sits in the water it will dissolve until there is nothing left. Same if you let it sit under running water. After the research was done I decided to give it a try and see how well it works. The first few days I didn't really notice much of a difference at all. I decided to stick with it for a while anyway as I knew it would take time to do it's thing. After the fourth day I noticed that the beard flake was much less noticeable. After a week it was all gone with no sign of beard dandruff anywhere. I still do the beard oil and balm after the shower on top of the shampoo. I have gone to washing my beard every other day and still no beard flake. It seems to soften the beard up slightly as well. My wife even noticed a difference in the texture after a week or so. If you have a beard buy this stuff for yourself. You will thank yourself later.

I've always loved Fuzzworthy soap for my beard, and hair too. The original (unscented) is my favorite, but like all bar soaps it gets really mushy quickly if it is sitting in a soap holder (let alone sitting flat on the shower shelf.) I always lined a small plastic bowl with alum foil, but what a mess after a few weeks. So I got this combo mainly for the holder. Brilliant! I love incredible, functional, and amazingly simple design, and this is that. There is a little bottle-cap-like thingee that you press into the soap. That thingee stays in the soap, is magnetic, clicks onto the wooden holder after use leaving the soap hanging in the air, not touching anything. Have been using it over a month, the soap is still practically a perfect cube! I had been using it just resting on the ground rather than stuck to the shower wall, that is sub-optimal (the wood of the holder gets wet, and there are a few "drips" from the cube), but is still much better than using a bowl or foil. I just decided to stick it to the wall, will let you know if it fails to stay, but even if does its still the best way to keep your Fuzzworthy soap crisp.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the shipping box is that the product packaging does not seem big enough to hold both the "Soap Saver" (the piece that holds the soap to the wall) and the soap. The product packaging also does not specify the contents, but if it's a black box about 3 inches per side then inside you find the holder & soap. I attached the holder OUTSIDE the shower door to make it easier to wipe down and clean the shower tiles without having the holder in the way of your wiping or spraying any cleaner. On to the shampoo. If you watched the company's video on the shampoo or other video reviews you really only do need to pass the bar over your beard once or twice to get enough on your beard for a good lather. This bar should last for well over a year I estimate if you use it two to three times a week as I do. I have used to twice so far and it does leave your beard feeling softer and helps against beard-druff. I previously used hair shampoo and another brand of liquid beard wash but Professor Fuzzworthy's beard shampoo does the best at preventing flakes. I do still use a beard oil and beard balm after I towel dry and my beard seems to be more bushy the day I used it, even with a beard wax. That's another story though. This beard shampoo smells great - a spicy woodsy scent. I recommend it for how long it should last you as well as ease of use versus a liquid beard shampoo. The liquid shampoo I had was quite thin so it was easy to pour too much out of the bottle. This shampoo bar gives you much better control of the product in use.

Originally I passed over this product because of the name. I know that sounds a little judgy, but being honest. The other beard shampoos I tried were pretty good but I kept thinking there was better out there. I read several “Best Beard Shampoo” lists from several different sources online. They all said about the same thing, this beard shampoo was the best overall. Then, I had to get over my hang up of a bar shampoo. Well let me say, I was wrong. This shampoo is the best. I purchased the box that came with the holder you stick to the wall, great idea. This shampoo makes my beard feel and smell really clean. I usually have a little dry skin under my beard which after using this shampoo has almost disappeared. You just rub the shampoo bar on your wet beard a little and it lathers up great. I use this about every other day and the bar seems to be lasting. After about a month of using you can barely tell that I have used it by looking at the bar. I don’t think you will regret using this shampoo.

Buy this beard shampoo with the hanger. You won’t regret it! The holder is fantastic and keeps the bar dry and will hopefully increase its lifespan. A tiny bit of shampoo goes a long way and creates the most luxurious lather. I got my husband the beard washes he asked for (all traditional liquids) and then got him this bar of shampoo because the reviews were so good. He didn’t ask for this bar shampoo but it’s by far his favorite of all the products I got him. Getcha self some!
