Excellent product, awful instructions
I guess it depends how shatterred your glass is, ours not so bad so removing the screen was not that difficult, maybe 20 mins and using a hairdryer, we did not need to buy a heat gun. It includes a razor blade that is good for prying the screen off and lots of plectrums to keep it unstuck whilst you work your way around. It also contains a home button and I found the hardest part figuring out how to remove the home button connector from the motherboard (you pry up the sticky label on top on both sides then slide pull it out, it is not a click connector like the other connections). Instructions are shockingly bad (just a short video) but contain a few essential nuggets so watch it in conjunction with the Ubergeeks one, note on Ubergeeks he is retaining the original home button but this kit has a new home button built in so depends what you want, we preferred the simplicity (or so we thought) of a new button. I didn't bother disconnecting the battery and had no problems. It comes with double sided tape in addition to stickies on the corners, etc and I hope this will stand the test of time. I got my 14 year old daughter to do it under my supervision which worked well as she has skinny fingers and sharp eyes.

Promising start but quickly failed
Fitting went well and the screen worked properly to start with.. However, it very quickly developed dead areas on the screen before giving up completely. I wouldn’t recommend.

Great screen
I was very hesitant to buy a screen and try it myself but I did and I have to say the out come was brilliant, this screen works really well. I haven’t had any issues with tracking your finger across the screen, everything fit perfectly. Well worth the money. Everything that you need to fix your iPad is there. I I had to add one thing it would be to use a liquid adhesive as well as the adhesive that is supplied just to give it that extra security. But otherwise a great product.

Bit confusing to install, although good kit for what you pay.
The good:- Lots of tools.- Glass with the home button (this is important). The instructions on this page are missing steps and misleading:1. The screen is way harder to remove than what it looks like.2. There is no instructions or warnings to help you identify where is the home button cable to not cut it.3. There is no instructions on how to remove the screen and disconnect the ribbon cables.4. Could add an optional step to reinstall the home button with touch id.The kit itself is good, seems to have all the tools you need and more. Half of the tools are not being used if you follow the instructions, so I'm assuming this may be a kit where you can do a better job than the current instructions are showing.Improvements that could be done to the kit:- Better instructions.- When and how you use each tool.- More alcohol and bigger cleaner fabric for the screen and glass.- Adding rubber gloves to not leave fingerprints. Conclusion: Bit confusing to install, although good kit for what you pay.

Very good screen
Really easy to fit when you’re following the instructions provided with the screen. Cost a third of what the repair shops were asking for.

Cheap and nasty
The adhesive is weak, the cables are thicker than the original so it sticks up, the surface is nasty and the screen isnt fully transparent
