Omkaram Upholstered Bed Frame

This bed is simply very well designed. It comes flat packed in its own bed head. Every piece is perfectly slotted into its place. Once assembled it looks the part and it performs its function well - providing a sturdy base for a mattress (not included). The assembly is easy to follow with a simple instruction manual that guides you through the process. Each piece is clearly labeled with a sticker so you don't get confused between different parts. Once constructed it is clear that the bed is very sturdy. It has a steel frame and solid, flat wooden slats that won't bend under your weight - which I think is rare at this price point. The bed looks very good for the cost, perfectly passable in most households - the bedhead could perhaps be made from a softer material but that's a nit pick and I think you'll struggle find a better overall package for what you're paying. The manufacturing quality is good, once again, for the price point, but here's where I found problems. The bed is designed down to the finest detail which leaves only a small margin for error for the manufacturers to work within. Mine arrived with a small error in its construction, which made it impossible to assemble. I recommend checking your bed before the return period is up to ensure an easy swap for a new one if necessary. This what I had to do but Zinus didn't quible and made the process simple. Even then, assembling was somewhat of a challenge because I had to slightly force some of the parts together because the tolorences were slightly out but I guess this is a reasonable trade off when you're paying what you're paying. All in all a great product that I'll probably buy again when I need a new bed, or I might try one of the other Zinus models.

What can I say. this King Size bed is brilliant the design is genius and very easy to put together 20 minutes tops mind you I used a battery ratchet driver for screwing it together which made a short job of it, when built it is very solid and heavy this bed isn't going anywhere, no squeaks or movement from the bed at all because it is so solid, I will recommend this bed to anyone in fact everyone who needs a solid well built and thought out bed, my friends and family have said when they need a new bed this is what they are going for, in fact my brother who is a big guy is going to order one next month because he's putting his old bed into the guest room, so if you need a good solid bed you won't do any better than this one.

Once put together on my own [better with 2 people] i found it to be nice & sturdy...the space it was all packaged into in the head base can be useful for keeping spare sheets in or hiding things in as the latter no one would know

Overall very happy with purchase. A sturdy bed that is good value for money. Comes with excellent instructions and tools for assembly. When assembling, as others have said, don't fully tighten each bolt as you go - wait until the bed is fully together before tightening the bolts that last little bit. The only thing that lets this bed down very slightly, for me, is that the headboard is very firm and rather tall. As a result, it's not that comfortable to sit against and the top is quite far above your head. We now miss our previous head board a bit because it was softer and the top edge was in the right place to rest the back of our necks on (while watching TV etc.) This is mostly because the whole bed comes packed within the headboard, so it's size is determined by this. Personally, I would rather the headboard was made with comfort in mind, rather than by what can be fitted inside. In any case, once in position, what use is a hollow headboard, with a zip on the back that you can't access(?) It would be better to have a squashier headboard, made with ergonomics in mind. I don't think many will ever have the need to pack the bed back into the headboard, so it's nearly always going to remain an unused cavity behind your head/s.

This is the standard against which all other flat pack furniture should be judged. We’ll packed, easy to assemble, tools (great ones) included, clear instructions and once built very sturdy and good looking. I needed a narrow platform bed to fit a small child’s bedroom. I could not be more happy with my purchase especially with the discount off rrp. I will be looking at items from the same company in future.

I thought the driver was delivering an inflatable bed by mistake when I saw the small size of the parcel . upon opening I realised it was because of the innovative way they packed everything into the zipped up void in the headboard. Easy to follow instructions, ( Diagrams only ) great tool kit including a ratchet for the Allen bolts plus the usual key if preferred. Lovely large headboard and sturdy underframe. I am a 70 year old and put this together in about 1½ hours . very pleased with it . nice one guys !

Bolts on the panel of the bed was literally stuck so couldn’t undo was so stuck on the bolt rounded off had to angle grind a cross in it to get the bolt out yes I was doing it correctly before had the box was all damaged there was a rip on the inside of the panel the slates are slightly to small that came with the bed frame so I had to use my old ones from my previous bed contacted Amazon for a return they was just completely useless just kept messing me about
