Very good addition to my TG-7... Works excellent and costs fraction of what the original does. The TG series lack of the lens protection is quite annoying, dust, fingerprints and dirt get onto lens and show on the pictures, this little cover, protects the lens and limits above to occasional clumsiness. It fits just like the OE cover and was one of the first accessories I got for my TG-7

This Lens Protector Cover fit perfectly on my TG-6. It was a snap to install and remove, and the mechanism to open and close the protective blades functioned smoothly and precisely. Some reviewers report problems with stuck blades or a non-working mechanism, but mine exhibited no issues whatsoever. Dust or sand in the mechanism may jam the blades, but they can probably be restored to full functioning with some judicious cleaning. For the everyday use to which I put my camera, this is a great accessory at a fraction of the cost of the Olympus name-brand item. This is SO much better than the detachable, easy-to-lose separate lens cap that I'd been using since I bought the camera that I have no hesitation in giving it a most enthusiastic five-star rating.

Great accessory. DOES NOT MAKE WATERPROOF. If you plan on using underwater be sure to put the original cap! Sorry for the caps but I needed to make that clear lol. Very easy to use and put on the TG-7

This worked fine...until I used it underwater. Even though I soaked it in H2O is eventually became jammed up and no longer works. So I would not recommend this if you intend on using your camera underwater, or take this off as it will apparently get ruined.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Works well when new. Much less expensive than OEM. Did seem to get stiff quickly. For the price, worth it.

Works and fits great. Only issue, opens too easily if rubs on something such as taking out of pocket.

Fits well. Easy to open and close the shutter. This is the 2nd one that I have bought. I was using the first one on a trip down the Green River in Utah. There is a lot of very very fine sand there and over the 11 days I was on the river it gradually became harder to use until it eventually locked up on the last day. The first one lasted 3 years and if it wasn't for the sand I would not have needed a replacement. I think the build quality is great.
