Works fine but WEAR GLOVES WHEN INSTALLING!
I just received this replacement cartridge today and even though it seems to work alright I felt obligated to write a quick review in order to issue a warning. Before you remove the orange plastic piece on the bottom of the cartridge PUT ON PLASTIC GLOVES! I repeat, PUT ON PLASTIC GLOVES! As soon as i removed that plastic piece the ink ran out and all over my fingers. Had to wash off the blue ink off quickly but still have a slight stain on my hands. Fortunately I had bag of cheap plastic gloves I use for various tasks around the house and put them on before i picked up the cartridge again. Now as far as the actual printing is concerned the compatable cartridge seems to be working just fine along with the other five original Cannon brand cartridges. I printed out three pictures on plain paper and two on photo glossy paper and I am more than satisfied with the results. I also opened the printer afterwards to check for leaking and didn't see anything. So despite the fact the ink got on my hands I would actually order these compatable cartridges again from this company. I've been using this printer for twelve years, it still works but the OEM ink is getting harder to find and to expensive. So if you want to take a chance on these compatibles I say go ahead but please get yourself a pair of plastic gloves to wear or you are going to regret it.

Using for 2 years and still very pleased
After some horrible experiences with non OEM (compatible ink catridges) in my Canon printers, I read some pretty good reviews on LD ink cartridges and decided to take a chance. I have 2 Canon printers and started off, for over a year, using LD cartridges in my 5 cartridge inkjet with no problems. I had swore never to use anything but Canon OEM in my 2nd printer, an 8 cartridge Canon Pro 9000 Mark 2 photo printer, but my results were so good I started using them and I'm not sorry! Being an amature photographer I print a ton of photos I'm quite particular about color redition. I see absolutely no difference between the Canon OEM cartridges and LD. I've had no issues with mechanical quality either (i.e., leaking cartridges, bad chips), 2 years running now. At over half the price of Canon OEM cartridges I can actually afford to use my printer for what it was intended for.

CLI-8PC Photo Cyan Compatible Inkjet Cartridge w/chip
The price is good, it works in my Canon iP6700D printer, except that I am having a problem with getting a good photo. At this point, I am not certain whether it's this particular cartridge or the other non Canon carts that I've been using for a couple of years, or perhaps my printer is getting a bit old, or my settings need retuning. I have not had the chance to work on it. I have no problem, though, with printing ordinary black text (which does use some color ink). Off hand, from what my guru has always said, perhaps I should have bitten the bullet all along and stuck with Canon's ink, despite its very high cost. Hopefully more on this later.

So far so good
The cartridge I got needed to be blotted a little when I opened it, but so for I have been pleased with the printing quality.

Does what is should
I am happy with this product. It accomplishes what id said it would. The ink color is good. There was a little bit of leak I needed to blot when removing the cap. There is actually more in that the original Canon product, but less internal "blotting."

surprisingly good
im not really into buying generic ink, or generic anything for that matter, but since i print so many pictures (not professionally, just for personal), i figured it was worth giving a try for the price. i was actually pretty shocked at how well it works, and seems to last longer than the brand name inks. i think the tank portion is a bigger than the canon equivalent, but im only going on memory since ive been using this for so long. totally worth every penny, and then some.

Quality Ink
Ink for my 8 cartridge printer is expensive but I also did not want to skimp on quality. The LD inks work great and the colors are vivid. Now instead of paying big bucks for OEM ink I can purchase the LD brand.
