Sounds just fine
I use this for my Stanton STR8-30 turntable (a workhorse, by the way--I've had it for over 15 years) and it sounds perfect. Crystal clear, warm reproduction.

Revive Your 500!
First off I would like to tell you up front that I purchase these very same style I from MCM about 7 years ago. They are the exact same manufacturer and part number contracted out to Phanstiel from Stanton years ago as legitimate Stanton 500 Al replacement needles. They will fit any Stanton broadcast 500 series of cartridges that have been available 4 over five decades now although Stanton is becoming more difficult to get OEM needles from 4.This particular needle has a blue dot on it's white stylus assembly as opposed to the red or bright orange that Stanton put on the needle years ago. I love the V around the stylist because it makes for a great visibility when chewing like a normal DJ. This cartridge is at its best when not used for scratching but for normal broadcast queuing. In fact I used two of the four style I that I bought on Stanton 500 SERIES V.3 cartridges which are black bodied as opposed to the original gold body or silver body in the Mark II series. This stylus will bring the cartridge to life and Beyond!!! The Clarity and the detail is stunning when compared to be rolled off his treble of the 500 V 3 that I purchased from Amazon years ago. In other words this is a tremendous upgrade that will make cymbals sound like cymbals and sibilance free of distortion especially in a Technics turntable such as mine. I perfectly aligned the stylist using the Technics overhang gauge and nothing else was needed for perfect azimuth! RAKE ANGLE is also perfect. NO INNER GROOVE DISTORTION as the record sounds just as good towards the end as the beginning. My ears confirm that. Now I have been collecting phono cartridges and I've been into audio for the past 50 plus years and it's nice to hear wonderful clear detailed sound again with a dark backdrop and perfect stereo separation and imaging. CHANNEL BALANCE IS AMAZING!!! When I purchased four of these about 7 years ago the price was about $12 per needle so the current price here on Amazon at less than $18 for needle is quite reasonable when you see the competitors offering the exact same stylus for mucho more money! My advice is to ignore the negative review that's posted here because this was not my experience at all and all four Styli are not only wonderful but very durable as you can expect to get five to eight hundred hours minimum and experienced a break in time of only 15 to 25 hours making the product very high quality .My advice is also if you're on the fence about purchasing these .7 mil spherical styli...go for it and ignore any negative reviews that you might spot. Lots of folk don't handle or insert the product correctly and then blame the manufacturer. In my opinion these needles are better than O.E.M.!!! This is a good product at a very reasonable price given the fact that prices have rose drastically on turntables phono cartridges Etc God bless and good listening... PJSII

Poor quality not as presented online.
Just open the package one of the stylus is leaning to one side it has no firmness to it meaning it couldn't get in or stay in a record groove.cheap and weak.
