Beanfields Bean Chips, High Protein and Fiber, Gluten Free, Vegan Snack, Jalapeno Lime, 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 6)

The black bean chips are so delicious with just a few ingredients! Please bring them back! These are one of the few snacks my son can eat. Please make them again!

Beanfields Nacho-flavored chips are my favorite vegan-friendly snack chip out there. They've got a bit of that Doritos style to them, but clearly healthier and crunchier. The protein packed bean chips are great to silence those who love to remind veg/vegan folks that they "need more protein." Sadly, the Beanfields bags have been disappearing from markets in the last year or so. Amazon was the only place I could still get them, but it seems they too are also out of stock. I heard Beanfields was bought out by a larger company, which is now going through some financial issues. I really, really hope one way or another Beanfields chips survive and make it back to our tastebuds.

I'm always on the lookout for vegan snacks, so I decided to give these a try in Nacho flavor. I'd never seen them before, but it's hard to come by any exciting flavors for vegan chips. We're usually relegated to some multi-grain flavor for just about every snack out there. I wasn't sure what to expect, and was a little worried about ordering in bulk, but it's nacho so I took the risk.These are ADDICTINGLY good. Like, eat 2 bags in 1 sitting good. I literally said out loud to my husband, "these are the best chips I've ever tasted in my life". He skeptically asked, "Better than Doritos?" (and if you're a vegan you know how good the purple bag of Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos are). The answer is yes (though my husband disagrees by a small margin). They have a distinctly cheesy taste. They're not spicy, but they have a good depth of flavor to them that I think could be described as nacho. The texture is nice, too. They're not super crunchy like most chips, but are decidedly more chip than cracker for sure. They do vaguely resemble a tortilla chip, but I guess because they have beans and rice in them, I feel a little bit healthier when I sit down and eat a whole bag of these. They have a good amount of protein for a bag of chips, which makes them pretty filling for me (not something I say often).I don't think you will find a better vegan chip out there. If you're not a vegan, you might find a more authentic nacho chip, but this is the best we have. I will probably have to hide the rest of the bags so my toddler stops asking me for them and taking them from me.

You can't beat these chips when it comes to flavor! Our local supermarket used to stock all the time but only infrequently now. Not sure if it's because of supply chain issues or just the price. I used to buy these for much less but I guess it's inflation that they're so expensive now. But no other chips have the same taste and quality as Beanfields, they are just delicious!

Beanfields is out of business...They were bought-out by Boosh plantbased food company, and they're not doing well either.So, don't expect to see these yummy chips anywhere anytime soon.BIG BUMMER

With 4 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber in each serving, Beanfields Black Bean Chips are fairly healthy ~ for a snack chip. And I prefer their taste to other brands' black bean chips. They are certified gluten-free.The only frustration for me is that no grocery store near me stocks these anymore. So buying from Amazon is great.

These chips are very tasty, and have a good amount of flavor, protein and fiber, but they are too delicate-they crack up during shipment. Amazon does a good job of shipping but the other carriers...the chips end up cracked. These wont stand up to a thick dip, but would do well with a light salsa dip. They need to improve the chip so it's more durable. If they could get it to 50 percent no breakage in the bag, that would be a 100 percent improvement. I found out how fragile they were during a 2022 Masters Tournament Watch party. Had to swap out these with organic potato crisps in a can, in order to take advantage of the homemade beef/bean dip.
