Had the exact same model for almost twenty years hope the quality is still the same

After 9'months of use, NONE BETTER in an industrial environment. I destroyed two other torches in less than as month. including the plastic version by the same company. This puppy is the best. Large capacity tank, great flame adjustment range, and robust .Dropped it 4 feet and rhe flame never went out., dropped it 16 feet (while not in use), no damage. I use it on the minimum setting most of the time for heat shrink. When the fuel gets low and flame gets weak, bumping up the adjustment lever always lets me finish the task.

Did not come with fuel which was ok ... but was not informed of that purchasing it. Also not as robust a device as expected... but ok. It's a good value for the price.

Used this torch about fifteen times before it dangerously malfunctioned. It was set to a small blue concentrated flame and suddenly threw out a huge four to five inch long flame burst, then sputtered out. Thankfully, I was working inside a firebox. If I were working in the open, for example on a creme brulee in a kitchen with fabric nearby, it could have been different.I verified it wasn't a setting adjustment on the torch that caused this. Additionally, the gas off switch malfunctioned and wouldn't close. The butane continued to pour out the front of the torch with no way to stop it other than to let the canister empty.Compared to other torches owned, the build quality of the materials is cheap plastic, and the tolerances on the buttons and levers is loose. Will never buy this product again.Amazon needs safety and QC standards.

If you need to shrink shrink tubing or heat shrink butt connectors this is perfect. I also use it when I need to solder larger gauge wires. It easy to use it has a lot of adjustment in flame size. It’s really almost impossible to see the flame out side in the day light. You may not see it’s on so be careful not to burn yourself or other surroundings

After filling the torch, flame was small

My family has a lot of auto electricians, and they were always complaining about their soldering guns not working well, so I saw this kit and thought it might be a good Christmas gift. I bought two, when my Dad and Brother opened them, they were thrilled. Since then I got one for my Boyfriend that works at an auto electric shop, and his son, who is a welder. Their co-workers wanted the link as soon as they saw them, so I think since I bought the first two, there have been at least a half-dozen more purchased. This is a great kit!

This thing is a PAIN in the BUTT to get Fluid into it and then it only lasts maybe long enough to cook one thing so if you're cooking for more than one person I suggest buying a different one. When it works it works decently (which is the reason for the 2 stars) otherwise, having to stop cooking and refill it after 2 or 3 minutes of use is quite a pain in the Proverbial BUTT!
