It stores well in the refrigerator, keeping ingredients fresh. Plus one for ease of use - the wooden lid is simply pressed down to seal and the mechanism is well engineered, which the manufacturer claims is an updated component.

Nice containers, attractive to have out. I put cereal in them. The lids have a seal, although they don't seal tightly. Probably good enough to keep fresh no longer than it takes us to use up a box of cereal, but you wouldn't want to grab them by the lid to lift them, or you would definitely lose the glass bottom, which would likely break. That said, they did include another rubber ring to use, BUT, while that works to seal them, it ruins the look to have them sit out. Bummer.

I keep laundry detergent in mine, removing & replacing lid multiple times per day & the seal still appears to hold air tight. Looks great on the counter & frees up cupboard space where I use to store detergent.

What was really nice about these jars especially if using them for laundry room storage, they come with a rubber ring to put on the bottom of the jars so they don't slide around.However for me, the lids are way too dark. They look lighter in the online pictures so be cautious when ordering. If a darker stain for the lids is what your after, you will LOVE these.
