Good price and quality

Everything you would get in black pepper but so much more in the back ground. A lot of subtle flavors not found in black pepper or you would need to use so much to get that it would be too spicy! I espcially like the Long Pepper in soups!

Used this for a spiced coffee cake. Arrived promptly. Worked well in the cake, but I have a lot left over! Wish it was available in a smaller size.

Awhile back an article caught my attention that described how Long Pepper used to be the European seasoning of choice over the current black pepper. Black pepper eventually gained in popularity due to its a availability and cost over long pepper, and long pepper was all but forgotten in Europe and North America. This intrigued me, so I found some powdered on Amazon and ordered it. Keep in mind that everyone’s tastes are different, but I found this pepper to have more flavor than black pepper, without the bitterness. Although I still use black pepper for foods like baked potato and mix the two for steak, I now use long pepper for soups and sandwiches. Very tasty in my opinion.

This pepper is very flavorful and you get a lot for your money

Long peppers provide denser nutrition than regular round peppercorns. Good price.

I am not sure what spice or blend is in the packaging. It had a very mild smell and taste, but numbs the tongue like Sichuan peppers, but does not have the citrus smell. Tested it vs long pepper we have from whole and taste is completely different, we have used both Indian and Java long pepper whole and love the taste, still not sure what this is.Batch number is in picture.
