Try removing the stem. Only do this once the pipe is cool. If you remove the stem wile the pipe is still warm, the pieces may cool at different rates and cause a loose stem

Q: Is this a dry system?

It can be used with 6mm filter or it comes with an adapter you can use if you don’t like filters.

Q: I assume this pipe comes with the reducer shown in the picture so it can be smoked w/o filtres?

It was beautiful package, the pipe itself is a work of art. It's a great product that has given many hours of pleasurable smoking or while at or out in the public I love dry smoking until I can put a flame to it.
