You will need a VERY TINY flat head screwdriver to secure the power lines. Luckily I have a kit with one of those screwdrivers that has attachments for every imaginable size. I'm very happy with this motor. Other than the initial setup, it handles a ton of problems for you. No need for soldering, no need to install your own on/off switch (comes with one), no DC converter needed - it plugs directly into the wall. It is also nearly silent. It's HARD to find high torque motors. This is my new go-to.

Strong motor but runs very hot. The outer case will reach 190 deg when in operation. The manufacturer says this is normal. It work fine hot, but i know its an inefficient design. I might try a 12v slow motor to run cool.

I couldn’t find a replacement motor for my projector. Ended up ordering this motor and took out the internals and placed them in other housing. Everything works as it should. Satisfied customer.

What I liked? Reversible, quiet, runs directly off of 120V, comes with a cord, bracket and screws. Easy to mount. When overloaded the motor simply "cogs" without damage, like a stepper motor. It is nicely finished and seems sturdy. What I don't like is the low torque and the 7mm shaft with the flat and hole. The use for a barbecue (rotisserie?) is a mis-representation it is not strong enough to drive the spit directly. Use with an external gearbox to reduce the RPM thereby increasing torque may work. I made the mistake of seeing 2.5KG and missed the "cm" part for torque as it was combined with the next sentence. Don't be fooled. This actually translates to 12.18 Lb-in. of torque. You can stop the shaft with a strong grip of the fingers. When stopped, the motor "cogs". The 7mm shaft is an oddball if you look to Amazon for a suitable coupling. I made shims on my 3-D printer to take up the room. This technique is not suitable for higher torques. I rated it 3 stars which is "average". There is nothing above average about this motor. If you need a low RPM, low torque motor to drive something very light duty, the motor will work just fine.

I have the 8-10 RPM motor. It gets so hot you can't touch it. It seems well made and rotates just fine. It's nice and quiet. But I'm worried it's going to catch on fire. There's no reason it should be so hot. I don't know if this is typical for these motors, or something is wrong with the one I have.

It is a powerful motor for its size and I would buy it again.
