Much better than a 24" wedge.
This has been the best purchase ever. My doctor was suspicious I had acid reflux. I did not. However, I did have back pain after a car accident. This has been an absolute lifesaver. I cannot sleep with a pillow any longer from pain. I don't feel like I'm sleeping downhill anymore. I don't have the uncomfortable bend in my back all night from the previous wedge that my doctor had recommended for acid reflux. The cushions are just right; they are pretty good about not separating, and it's easy to put my mattress pad up and cover over the top. I did not have a topper for a few weeks after I got the wedges, and they did really well with just my sheets. Eventually, I moved the wedges below my mattress as they were supposed to be. They worked really well and in all positions on my bed. I have even removed the cushions behind my bed for sitting up because this one is much more comfortable. It's also easier to get up and down off my bed when I'm so stiff in the mornings. Getting old sucks; this makes it suck less.

Perfect Alternative to a Box Spring!
I recently purchased the LUCID 5-Inch Mattress Elevator Base and I’m so happy with the decision! It’s the perfect solution for elevating my mattress without the need for a traditional box spring. The base is sturdy, easy to assemble, and gives my bed a modern, clean look.It provides great support for the mattress, and I love that it doesn’t take up too much space, keeping the overall profile of the bed low but comfortable. It’s also a great option for anyone looking to add a little extra height to their bed without needing a bulky box spring.Highly recommend this base to anyone looking for a simple, effective way to elevate their mattress while maintaining a sleek, minimalist design!

Does what it was made to do, but did not work for me as it was intended.
This did not work for me, as it was intended. Ok, I do not like that it comes in 2 pieces(queen size). The pieces tend to separate. I have a metal platform base. I put a rug gripper down on base and then a dust ruffle. I put the rug gripper down hoping that it would keep the dust ruffle from shifting and moving. I then put another rug gripper down on top of the dust ruffle to keep the mattress elevator from shifting and moving. I then put the mattress elevator and my mattress and topper on top of it. I knew when I put the mattress on top the elevator that it probably was not going to work because the matt elevator had already started to move when I put the mattress on top of it. Sure enough within days the elevator either one or both pieces had slipped out from underneath the mattress and all the way over to the other side of the bed and up against the wall. This is some feat because I am not a lightweight person. It might have kept going and slipped all the way out from underneath the mattress if the wall had not stopped it. So I took the mattress off and put a mattress protector on the 2 pieces of the matt elevator to keep the pieces together, and removed the dust ruffle so I could lay the elevator right on the base, and put the mattress back on top, it still slipped. I am 67 years and not in good condition and I had to do this all by myself. I simply could not take that mattress off again and try something else and have that also not work. So I took the mattress off one last time and removed the matt elevator and put it on top of my mattress and put my mattress topper on top of it and I use it that way. It's not as comfortable as it was under the matt. but it'll do because I do not want to go back to sleeping flat. I think there's a cover you can buy for it and I suggest anyone buying this also buys that, maybe that will keep it from shifting. I can't afford the cover at this time and anyway I simply cannot take that mattress off again to try and see if that would work.

Wait! Take the handful of bad reviews with a grain of salt!
Let me start by saying I was hesitant to buy this product because of some of the reviews. Hearing that I could possibly receive a defective product and be left having to deal what would likely be a nightmare to return, didn't really inspire a lot of confidence. But I clicked the buy button anyway and I'm glad I did!The product arrives in two pieces, tightly rolled up, and put in a box. I'll admit, I was worried when I opened the box and rolled the pads out and noticed how different in shape they were to each other... it really did look like I was given two different sizes. But, knowing how finnicky memory foam can be, I took them outside and let them lay out in the sun for a few hours. It wasn't very warm outside, but I imagine the higher the temperature is, the quicker the foam will gain its proper shape. Unfortunately, with the foam being white, it won't absorb the light from the sun and heat up on it's own.A few hours later I went to check on them and they had fully gained their shape. I placed them on my box spring and threw my mattress on top. I was half-expecting the foam to give when I got on the bed, but it didn't even seem to give at all. Just to put things into perspective, my mattress is not light. It's a hybrid mattress with springs and memory foam and it's very thick. I am also not very light as I weight 280 pounds. These pieces of foam can hold some weight! So why did I purchase this? I got tired of feeling all stuffy and unable to breathe through my nose every night when I laid down because blood flow to the upper part of my body increases. I've also been told that I sometimes snore and thought this might help that. It took a little getting used to, but this product has made a big improvement. One important thing you may want to consider is how firm your bed is you're going to go for the 7". While I don't personally have issues with sliding down my bed, I could see that it may be a possibility with a firmer mattress. One other quick thing to note is that I did not purchase the cover and my mattress doesn't try to slide off the foam.

Awesome product
My husband had a stroke middle of last year. He has dizziness if he lays flat now. This was a wonderful purchase. We have wrapped it up and took to hotels so he can sleep. We use on his bed at home. We have even used on a twin bed because it is in two parts and works for twin beds!
