Paracord! is a great one, how about Paracords!
I bought this and I like it. I'm still a rank beginner & also depend upon YT. But my book's title and the customer pictures I've seen of the cover indicate that the title of the book should be Paracord! BUT I'm seeing that the photo of the book cover on Amazon says the title is Paracords! I'm just curious as to why? What's with the extra "s" at the end?

Well written w/1 small but rather big flaw; still a great starter guide!
It is well written and certainly has better instructions than many I have seen. I agree with the reviewer who mentioned it doesn’t say how much to use-that is absolutely true. There really isn’t a guideline to help with figuring out how much to use based on wrist size or for every project. When writing something like this including more information on how to determine the amount of pararcord needed would have been really helpful; that said , it isn’t like there is never an amount needed given. Also, the beginning of the book which discusses how to prep the cord-including how to preshrink it was a wonderful bit of information to have!Overall a well written book. Just a little key info missing or not clearly enough defined if it was trying to be conveyed.

Informative, but a little hard to follow
PROS:The history and uses of Paracord are well explained and interesting. The Author clearly knows his subject, but I found the context a little hard to follow in several cases. Luckily I have previous knowledge of rope work and understand terms that were not defined such as Standing End and Working End.I did learn (or re-learn I guess) about pre-washing the paracord to assist with shrinkage. Good Lesson.I also learned a few techniques that were helpful such as stripping the inner cords and only using the sheath for the 'Thin Line' bracelets.CONS:My biggest issue was a question on if this book was proof read before publication. In (at least) several of the projects, the photos did not match up with the text, but the next photo seemed to be the match.I think that the author should have used higher contrast paracord (dark color on dark color is hard to follow) trying to follow the process in still photos can be tricky, and perhaps referring to a cord color rather than cord 1 and cord 2, etc. Unfortunately I found myself referring to YouTube videos to review several techniques.OVERALL:The book is useful, but is for a beginner to moderate user. There are some tips and information that an advanced user may find helpful.Having the book to be able to have the project steps on hand is VERY USEFUL, but with the number of online resources is not really needed. HOWEVER - since I take these projects when camping, the book is irreplaceable.

Great book! HARDBACK even!
A quality bookshelf worthy book, where steps of weaving are illustrated very clearly in color. Plenty of variations of weaves described in plain language and tips and tricks such as making jigs to hold the cord in place while weaving. Pay attention to the part on boiling your cord first as it is a good step in taking care of initial shrinkage of the cord.
