Durable and Perfect for the Beach
We’ve been using the UMARDOO Family Beach Tent Canopy for years, and it’s held up amazingly well. The 10×10FT size is great for our family, and it offers excellent sun protection. It’s very sturdy and has withstood both wind and sun without any issues. Easy to set up and take down, and it’s held up through countless beach trips. Highly recommend if you want a reliable, long-lasting beach tent!

Surprise 5 star Review
Honestly, I'm a little surprised to be giving a 5 star review for this family beach tent. It's super light weight. The material feels like a soft jersey fabric--the only thing I can compare it to. It's not the parachute type fabric or tent fabric, but an actual soft fabric, lightweight and easy to repack. the poles are aluminum and pack away in sections with a black ball-thingie on top. All I can say, of all the options out there for beach pop-ups, covers, tents, whatever, this is in a class by itself. And at first, I was not pleased at all. On day one of our 3 day trip, I sent my 2 grown kids on ahead to set up with no directions and no idea what this was supposed to look like. They sent the first picture as proof of shade because granny don't tan. As you can see, they put the poles closer to the corners, not as pictured above. When I got to our site, no kidding, I was kissing my $119 goodbye because no way was that flappy thing staying put for 10 minutes, much less 3 full beach days, especially with the wind conditions (non-stop, crazy wind with no-swim warnings everywhere the whole trip.) Smartie pants children assured me this was a great design and held up by tension and the wind was *helping* and, btw, they knew how to set up a tarp to catch the breeze thanks Mom. (I will admit to googling the brands of pop-up shelters nearby and trying to figure if we could get delivery at the beachhouse.) For three days, I sat under this beach tent and never really got used to all that flapping but I *did* learn to trust the design. One pole slipped on the first day but it was back in place in less than a minute and nothing ever fell again. We did learn that it helps to shovel away the loose sand and make a small divot or hole in the hard packed sand for the poles to sit in. Nothing deep, just an inch or so. After that, the poles didn't move. The bungie cords keep the material tight to the poles at the top and never loosened or flew off. We didn't bury the sandbags as suggested by other reviewers. We also filled ours with loose dry sand that was super lightweight. I'm thinking we could have wet the sand down inside the bags if needed but it never was so we didn't. Every night, the kids took the tent down and toted it back to the house. Super easy and quick. They threw it in the wagon until the last take-down when it went back in the bag. It's in just as good a shape as it was when we got there and that is saying something. The same cannot be said for all those other tents and popups around us. I saw quite a few crumbling by that third day. I'm very surprised. And pleased. And still surprised. We had plenty of shade/room for 5 adults and 2 littles. Most of the time, we had three adults and had plenty of space for a blow up lounger and a couple of lawn chairs under the 10x9. It was nice and cool with all that flapping and wind-blowing. That's a 79"x83" sandproof blanket on the ground for reference. You can see there's lots of shade all around and plenty of sandy play space. This tent made our trip. And that's really saying something.

It's big!
I really like this canopy. Setting it up is not bad. You really do need the sand screws (sold separately), though. I was surprised how well this held up in the wind. Other umbrellas and tent-things were flying all over the beach, but this was rock solid. The only drawback is how far out the sand bags are. If you are on a crowded beach, you are not going to make many friends with the amount of space you take up. And those bags and ropes make a heck of a tripping hazard, especially for kids. To consolidate a little, I wrapped the sandbag ropes around the top posts a bunch of times and was able to bring the bags in closer to the canopy. This didn't seem to reduce it's wind handling ability. You could probably also shorten the ropes with some knots, but I didn't try that.

Just what we needed
This canopy worked GREAT at the beach. Was able to put in my carry on bag on the airplane. Easy to set up and sturdy with the coastal winds.

Don't Purchase Unless You Can Return Within 30 Days
I purchased this for our beach vacation. One part broke after 1 day and one part broke after 4 days. The 30 day return window closed before I was able to use it and now that Amazon's customer service sucks, I have no recourse for resolving the issue except leaving a poor review and hoping the seller sees it. I will update the review if there is a resolution We used this shade 4 times on a 5 day beach trip. Day one, we could not get it set up (2 adults). Day 5, (after watching MORE videos), we got it set up (2 adults/2 kids). On the first day, 2 of the poles bent. They were usable the rest of the time, but you would expect them to not bend on the first use. Also, by day 5, the carrying case had a large rip in it where the strap attaches to the bag. Most of the time we carried into the beach on our wagon, and weren't even using the straps. When we got it up, it did work, though in high wind I would highly recommend only putting up 2 poles. $100 for a shade should last more than one trip. If I had it to do over again, I'd buy the name brand Neso one. The poles are longer, the designs are cuter, and they probably have better customer service. At this point, if the seller can replace the poles and carry bag, we'd keep this one, and give it 4 stars.

Good unit overall
We just moved to Florida. When visiting the beach, we saw a lot of these type tents. So we purchase one. I have always used a regular 10x10 popup tent with the steal legs and frame. This is light weight and easy to carry. But I did not know they recommend using tie downs ropes along with the sandbags. First with the sandbags, it takes up too much real estate on the beach, so I shortened the reach of the bags. It went up pretty easy, served the purpose until the wind started to pick up, once it got really windy, it fell down on one corner. Yes maybe if I had the tie down ropes, it would not have fallen, but they do not supply you with the tie down ropes. So I purchase another tent, this time I am trying the Cool Cabana. I do not mind having two, when family comes to visit, I will require more space. So I will let you know which I like better. Overall it performs as seen and described. If the popup tent was not so heavy, I would go back to using that, easy up and down, never had an issue with it. I think I invented the sandbags using plastic store bags to hold my tent down.

Buena compra. Me gustó el color, la sombra es buena y se sostiene muy estable. Es facil de instalar. Como la compré en promoción el precio me parece justo. Si fuera más costosa tal vez no la compraría.
