What exactly does SINGLE BOX MODEL mean in (R1000-UNBX vs R1000-UN)?

Another clarification. R10000-UNBXHF: no downspout, tub diverter needed...for shower stall only. R10000-UNBX: tub diverter required, use with tub/shower. You can buy either type with Pex fittings, or solder joint. The trim kits include the plastic valve inserts, and metal decorative finish parts, with tub spouts/diveter sold separately. Delta has perfected tub/shower plumbing design, allowing you to buy exactly whats needed with no waste. These multichoice universal valve bodies are perfection!

Does this valve come with a cartridge?

Will this work for me? I am wanting a one valve to operate a fixed shower head and also divert to a handheld shower head. Will this valve do that?

No. This valve body will allow water to be diverted between a tub spout and a shower head (the diversion is actually caused by a button or knob on the tub spout.) The bottom outlet can be capped, making this a shower only valve body. In order to do what you want, you also need the Delta R11000 three way diverter valve body. it allows control between a shower head and a hand held sprayer.In summary, you will need the R10000 and the R11000, and a decent plumber to install it properly.I stress to you to get a plumber who knows what he is doing. I have come in behind several plumbers that piped the R11000 incorrectly, yielding aZERO result. The valve bodies come with directions on how to pipe them, but literacy is failing in this country.

I dont have hot water hardly....how do i adjust this to get better hot water...everything else in home has great hot water????
