Noel & Bonus Tracks

I have loved the Paul Mauriat Christmas album since I was in college - and that was many years ago. The album is exquisite, but I could done without the bonus tracks that are not in the same style as the rest of the CD. It's a very abrupt transition from the bonus tracks to the rest of the album.

Love this Album. So Christmasy sounding from back in a time when Christmas music was Christmas music. Well arranged and very hard to find. Highly recommend this album to any collector or anyone who loves the sounds of the season.

There were no other reviews to read when I bought this CD and I had never listened to the album before so I was particularly pleased when I listened to the CD for the first time. The Mauriat style arrangements to some of the traditional tunes make them refreshing to listen to. I have played the CD over and over again and strongly recommend it to lovers of Christmas music.

Buena calidad de sonido de un álbum inolvidable. Los tracks añadidos a este álbum no son muy relevantes ya que musicalmente son de bastante menor calidad que los clásicos por lo que podrían haber sido ignorados.

A gem from the past digitally remastered!

I found the first three tracks a bit twee and unimaginative, but once you get past those this is a really pleasant easy listening Christmas album. Paul Mauriat's luscious strings do the music justice and what was refreshing for me was the fact that many of the tracks I did not know. There are a couple of the usual suspects on here, but it's mostly French tunes that were new to me.
