I finally have a garden! Highly recommend this planter box!!!
I received my Boldly Growing (Tall) Raised Plant Box yesterday and absolutely love it. It was easy to construct, but I carefully read all the QA and comments to prepare first. As others had said, it's good to put together completely without the screws to make sure that the floor will fit, panels are the right way etc. Others have mentioned the plastic screw bag being busted and ours was too, which is odd. We were missing one screw (which I found in my husband's pocket in the laundry later). We ended up just using a nail which should be fine. To help movability, we purchased threaded stem casters and t-nuts. My husband drilled a hole into each leg, hammered in the t-nuts, then we easily screwed in each stem caster. I chose to seal the wood, so painted it with polyethylene. I used four 1.5 cubic bags (6 cubic feet total) of raised bed garden soil which was the perfect amount, and smells so rich. I added a small trellis to use as support for the tomatoes. Lastly I planted 3 tomato plants on the back row, 2 peppers on the front with 1 basil plant. Yea! I have a garden.

When assembled it looks like the photos in the listing
The assembly instructions were adequate, although required careful reading. Pretty simple once you identify all the parts. A bit of guesswork about how and when to place the screws but big mistakes are not likely. Some sort of electric drill driver really comes in handy. Once assembled, it seems sturdy enough and looks just like the photos in the listing. The walls and floor are thick and don't bulge when full of soil and plants. The wood is not soft, as I feared it might be. I may apply a coat of cetol (colored oil) for looks, but the wood is attractive, at least when new. I added small castors (wheels) to the legs so it can be moved more easily when it's full of soil. I have hardscape in the area of the planter, so it make sense for me. Any wood planter is going to rot sooner or later, but it appears I may get good mileage with this one. It seems to drain adequately but I might drill weep holes if the soil remains too wet. Will make that call during rainy season.

Support an American Veteran
We can see why this item earned its high rating. Although made in China, the American-based company has a good handle on design and production. Every drilled hole fit, all hardware was included. The wood is cedar, not fir. Expect some splitting over time as that is what cedar does. However, these planters will likely hold up for many years in Michigan weather. Very solid construction and easy to move, but be sure to place the planter where you want as this will be heavy when filled and watered. We chose the model without the bottom shelf and it is very sturdy. Filled with 3.5 bags of 2 cubic ft. Potting Mix (not soil). 66 year old lady put this together herself in a half hour using a hand held screwdriver. Very easy. We gardened an acre of vegetables for years and have now moved on to elevated planters. Much easier to work with as one ages. For convenience, we are using a thick rubber stall mat as a base which eliminates mowing and weeding under the planter. Personal preference, we placed patio blocks under the cedar legs to keep them up and out of rain water. We will be constructing a PVC + chicken wire top for the planter. For this season, we put up a six foot fence around the planter to deter hungry critters, and topped this fence with a piece of deer netting to stop hungry birds. This is a great planter and worth the price, which is surprisingly low. Go for this, not the big box store planters. You will be happy! God bless our veterans!

I *might* have overpopulated it a touch.
This planter box has worked out better than I expected...but I *might* have overestimated the capacity a touch. From left to right....tomatoes, cowering spearmint, jalapenos, habaneros, suffocated cilantro, and alpha-basil.We've had some excellent pesto. There's been enough mint to make a few drinks. The tomatoes are all still small and green...habaneros and jalapenos are developing nicely.Cilantro usually grows up straight and tall, but ours is kinda crushed and hidden. I have enough for garnish, but not enough for a good salsa. Basil though....Started with three small plants, we've used a bunch of it, and it has been growing out of control.None of these are product issues, they're all a result of me sucking at gardening. But this is the longest into a summer we've had plants survive, so I'm still calling it a win.

Will Buy Again
Packaging: 5 StarExcellent packaging. Thick bubble wrap plus packaging wrap kept all pieces securely together. Extra styrofoam packaging to help product from moving around. Packaging tape kept shipping box together.Assembly/Quality: 5 StarThis was easily and quickly put together. All wood pieces were visibly labled to assist with the assembly. The quality of the REAL ceder wood will make this garden box last a very long time. Using all the included screws makes this very sturdy.I will buy this again for future gardening plans and would recommend this to any looking for a raised garden box.

Still looks good after a year
Thought I would write a review after having had this set up for a year.I planted a tomato, a pepper, and some squash in it last year. They did well. It sits on the end of my driveway in the full Southern sun in the high desert region of eastern Oregon. Hot, hot, hot and unrelenting sun. I treated it with a water sealant before planting last year and again before planting it with strawberries this year. I'm pleased enough to have ordered 4 more for my gardening this year. The new ones I've ordered are the tall boxes. I want to make sure I have enough planters to rotate crops so I'm not planting tomatoes in the same containers two years in a row (to avoid blight). The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of a crack in some of the legs, but I realize this is a wood drying issue. They are very sturdy and the plants do well in them. A quality product.

That planter box tho
Absolutely awesome. Ships easily and compactly, assembled with ease indoors and moved out. It survived the strong sun and rain exposed on a rooftop garden. I put clay beads on the bottom and lined with the cloth and it never dried out or over drained - just perfect all season!! Grew cilantro, dill, oregano, thyme, sage and tarragon in this baby and it looked great doing it. I will probably be getting another for next season!
