I purchased this to help with recovery for a lower back strain. I've tried several other braces and while some offer much more support, the smaller size of this compression wrap (it really doesn't feel like a true 'brace') is much more convenient for wearing under your clothes as well as transitioning from standing to sitting without it being too obtrusive. I'm able to wear it comfortably all day (and even at night) which is a great reminder to take things easy as anyone recovering from a back injury knows, it's very easy to aggravate again. It's a bit warm but it's also winter and the extra heat on my lower back actually feels pretty good. For an initial back strain that's still quite painful I'd probably recommend something with internal support and better coverage but for the latter stages of recovery this product works quite well.

This Compression Support was exactly what I was looking for - I've had it for about a week and used it for two (2) full days and then two (2) additional times while doing work outside just to give me that extra confidence in my back while I'm working my way back to what I hope is full strength. This might not be for everyone - I think it really depends on what you are wanting to get out of it - I can tell you this (and maybe it was just mind over matter but I received this last Saturday after waking up that morning in excruciating pain from the Sciatica - it was all I could do to get moving that morning and get to the post office to pick this up. I put it on as soon as I got home and for me it was some instant relief from the pain and I wore it the rest of the day with no discomfort and continued to feel better through the day - I've seen many reviews and almost didn't get it but I really wanted to get something and the other items I looked at in this category just didn't seem to be what I needed - I'm between a 38 and 40 and so I got the X-Large and it worked great for me under my clothes - I got this one because a lot of answers I saw to similar products seemed to indicate that those with a large range and fits most were really not big enough and would be too tight - getting the X-Large for me was perfect. Will it work for everyone, I don't know - each person is different and I really wanted some support that I could control by adjusting the tightness if I felt I needed. I know back pain is nothing to play with so I really think you have to decide what is right for you - for me this worked and I hope that it will continue to work when I feel I need it. I'm certainly no expert on back pain and can only speak for myself. Glad I got it and glad it was available via Amazon Prime to get it quickly - for me it couldn't have arrived at a better time. I will consider getting another just to have as a spare or to wear to the office vice the 1st one I got which I tend to use for outdoor activities - I only plan to wear it if and when I feel I need it. I know one review said it left stains and I would say that in my case it did as well but I was wearing it over a white t-shirt and while it did leave basically an outline of the "belt" it was of no concern to me as it was hot, humid and muggy - when I wore it in the comfort of my home I did not experience any staining.

It helped me when I had a muscle spasm and my back was tenuous. It provided the extra support that I needed in addition to holding ice and heat packs in place.

I took some time before I wrote this review. I wanted to make sure that it would be informative and helpful about the product to others. I'm a 6'2 male, 250 pounds with a 42+ inch waist. When I first got this product, I tried it on as I ordered based on the size chart and it fits, so kudos on that. Before actually using this product I rinsed it water making sure I followed the directions given with respect to washing this product. I found that air bubbles appeared and the fabric surrounding the brace moved and lifted easily (can be seen in one of my photos). While doing physiotherapy, I had it on and it gave some added support and also helped stave off discomfort during the exercises that caused some distress in the affected area. When the brace was off I noticed the decrease in support for my back. There were times I put it on loosely and it rode up, however once I took the time to carefully put on the brace it stayed pretty much in place. However I also found that the brace started to separate and there were gaps in it. Thus decreasing it's ability to do the task required as good as I would like. Showed my therapist and she was quite alarmed. Does it do the job: Yes, somewhat, so I'd give 4 stars for that Will it last: Does not appear, so I'd give 1 and a half stars for it's durability Overall feeling: Disappointed in the products durability but even in this deteriorative state, it still gives a semblance of support. Had a video but could not get it posted.

Good belt and supports my back well when I want to pick up heavy stuff. I have four of them.

There is no way for me to write enough about this back support. Truly life changing for me. Seriously. I have struggled with intermittent and crippling back pain my whole life. Until I got this. When I feel my back starting to hurt now I grab this and put it in for a couple hours under my clothes and next thing I know I’m fully functional again. As I aged I noticed back pain happening more frequently and preventing me from being able to participate in activities I’ve done before. Haven’t had to miss anything since I got this. This latest one I got was for my mother to help her. Best gift I ever gave her. This is it! This is the product that will help with your back issues. I am so grateful for this product. Also important to mention that it’s so lightweight you can wear it under your clothes or while sleeping
