BICKids Markers, Ultra Washable, Durable Case, Long-Lasting, Bullet Tip (2.8mm), Assorted Colors, 20-Pack

When my daughter was 3, I gave her a box of the thin crayola pipsqueaks and she managed to easily destroy all the tips the first day using them. Two years later and I still hadn’t bought her any fine tipped markers thinking that they weren’t for younger kids. Wrong!! I handed this box over to my now 5.5 year old and my 4 year old, and they have used them for about 5 hours now with no damage. I’m super impressed with the tips, and they are really loving the ability to color and write with finer detail. They are perfect for my 5 year old who is practicing writing letters. The caps are easy to get on and off and we haven’t had any caps only partially on (like we do with crayola). Also the markers wash off their skin as expected. Overall I’m impressed!

I try to keep a set of markers here for when the grandkids come over as they all enjoy drawing, painting, and crafting in general. I gave them this set of Bic Kids coloring markers at our last visit and the markers worked perfectly for decorating fine print cards. The ink is washable and came off hands easily with soap and water. The markers supposedly won't dry out for a week even if the cap is left off. The choice of colors is excellent and all of the markers worked perfectly. However, they came in a regular cardboard box, not a plastic case.

Very bright. Holds up as noted without cap. But...this is the concern with our little ones. It is very bright. Perhaps the fact that it doesn't dry out as much keeps it that way, but the younger kids got it all over their fingers and faces. It took at little effort to wash off too. There isn't a disclaimer on the box about being non-toxic. I would hope so being for kids but it isn't on the package.I like for the older kids though.

An admission: *i* am using these markers, not my kid. I do mixed media and watercolor and when these arrived I tried them and then tried to wash them out with a wet paintbrush to create a watercolor-ink look, and they worked really well! So they are staying in my stash (my daughter has more markers than me, anyway, so I think she'll be okay.)They aren't the most well built markers, they are small in length, quite narrow (not chunky for small hands to hold) and the nibs are hard, but they dissolve well with water and you can get a nice thin line with them. Perfect for doodling or mark making, NOT good for filling in large areas with color.I'm knocking off a star because I think BIC could have given these guys a nicer barrel and case. However, I think this might be their cost efficient line, so maybe they skimped on packaging. I also wish they came in more colors (a 36 set might be nice, BIC, just saying...)

At our graphics company we wanted some colored markers to identify different areas on floor plans we were using, and we decided to try these -- a little unconventional since they are marketed for children. We have been using them now for a while, and I asked for an honest opinion from the person using them the most. It was pretty short and sweet: "I love them!" They were described as easy to use, and in particular that there were so many really bright colors. That should be great for kids using them for artwork, and if, like our purpose, you need a lot of colors for some other reason they are a good choice, as well.

I gave this five stars because I got them for my daughter who is a teacher, and they are used by children who are in a special area of the room and want to color a huge picture on the wall. The students will use the markers for short periods of time and they will be able to be capped most of the time. They are thin with medium points, perfect for this color -in poster. It's a great set of markers at a good price but shouldn't be used for hours on end.

BIC is a very reliable office supply manufacturer. This colorful marker pack has solid pens with rich colors. They last as well as can be expected for such things, even with the long-lasting claim. The durable container helps with making this a transportable item for car trips, etc. as well as not getting lost in the car or house. It would make a great stocking stuffer!

Mine did not come in the plastic packaging like the image and the box completely fell apart so markers were everywhere. They work okay and are super cute - wish they had been packaged better
