This movie, I loved it it was about a true hero, who was a real person, and in real life.

This is an ambitious project.It is forgivable that it is not great.Here are a few reasons whyThis Bung Langit's first super hero film and as they are trying to emulate the Marvel model of film making of course they would fall into the mistake of missing the real strength of the directors Indonesia's sensibilities.Joko Anwar's sensibilities are really about the nuances of human interaction and the emotion that is under the surface of the characters. This works to much greater effect in his previous films. I think he felt a great pressure to succeed by big studio standards rather than his own.I support the film though it is clunky in many many ways because this is one of ndonesia's first big outreach to the world cinema. The Raid Redemption was the first big indonesian features. There's a bigger world beyond this movie, and I wish i could read the graphic novels to learn about it. It might have filled in a few gaps for me as a viewer, but this is a fantastic superhero story that shows a lot of promise and I hope to see more from this director.

Subtitles not a problem. This is a good origin story movie and does a great job creating the mood, delivering action and surprises. Kids, teens and adults all enjoyed this movie

Great hero movie!!

as an action film fanatic and martial artist i came across Gundala on Prime and decided to give it a go.i am english speaking and understood this was an indonesian language movie and i dont mind foreign language films.i know this movie did not have a Marvel or hollywood budget but i liked the action and i liked the storyline and overall i enjoyed the film and purchased a copy on DVD for my collection of Action movies.if there is a Gundala 2 made i will watch it

It's a good movie and has made its place amongst the oddities I call my library

the movie was good , gritty and an unique angle on a superhero ...little more down to eaerth than the bathman , but equally enjoyable.

Very enjoyable, watched in original language and did not detract from enjoyment. well worth watching
