Flip the Script: Lessons Learned on the Road to a Championship

I was disappointed when the book arrived and it was thin, the type was large and multiple pages were blank between chapters. Overall I enjoyed the book. I had read the authors original book featuring Odgeron years ago and greatly enjoyed that one. This was a nice follow up. I wish certain areas - such as issues on the coaching staff - would have been detailed instead of dealing with them in just several sentences. It was Interesting the only place Bruce Feldman was mentioned was inside in an “acknowledgment” section, His name is not on the cover or the inside covers. It’s clear to me Odgeron drove the content here. He had all the leverage; having a championship team and without his extensive cooperation this book was not going to be written. Bottom line it’s a good look behind the curtain and an enjoyable read.

For college football fans, this is an easy book selection. But this book deserves a much broader audience. It’s more than football. It’s about believing in a bigger plan, refusing to let others define you and never giving up. Through replays from his life, Coach O gives a genuine look at the trials and tribulations of following a dream. The journey is not always glamorous or perfect. In fact, he shows it takes an enormous amount of hard work, discipline, dedication and commitment. Coach O highlights that no journey comes without heartbreak or disappointment. Remaining true to ourselves in and acknowledging our own strengths and weaknesses is part of the game plan. He gives us hope that we too can chase a dream and make it a reality. Coach O is sincere, relatable and inspirational.

Surprised at many of facts I was not aware of. Really appears to be very insightful into Coach ‘O’’s journey

I don't care much for sport books or college football even, but this book is great. COACH O is just a genuine good person who loves the sport of football.

Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my LSU loving boyfriend. He thought it was great and finished it in a week!
