Victron Energy 6.56 ft Extension Cable for Victron Energy Blue Smart IP65 Charger

I love the quality of Victron product line in my camper and now am able to expand it to my Motorsport and collector car batteries. I do wish that their chargers were a universal style plug but love how the fiction cables lock together. They are more expensive than the competitors but you have greater functionality and control with the Victron products and can greatly increase your battery life.

I charge a variety of things with my Victron and sometimes they are in awkward locations. I like not having the charger sitting up precariously where it could fall over the course of hours or even a day. The extension gives me the option to position the charger in a safer place instead of say dangling from an RV battery 6 feet off of the ground :-)

I liked the patch cord. Delivery was faster than they said! Good product.

Let’s me keep the vehicle in the driveway with the hood closed and the charger in the locked garage. I run the extension wire through the front grill so the hood can remain closed and locked.

It works. what else can be said?

Like most Victron gear I have used, this is well designed and constructed. My only complaint which seems nitpicky but would also be very simple to fix: The contact shapes are symmetrical on both sides and therefore can be accidentally, partially connected with reverse polarity. It's very easy to avoid this accident but it would also be very easy to design the connectors so reversing polarity is impossible. Still well worth the money for a high quality product.
