I’m very happy with this Nutiva Organic Cold-Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil. This is the fifth year of purchasing Nutiva Coconut Oil. The quality is excellent, and I love that it’s USDA organic, non-GMO, and cold-pressed, so you know you’re getting a pure product without unnecessary additives. The coconut oil has a light, natural coconut scent and flavor that isn’t overpowering. It’s great for cooking, baking, and even adding to smoothies or coffee. I also like using it for other things like moisturizing my skin and hair—it works really well and feels very natural. I also add this to my Goldendoodle's food every morning. The 54 oz (2 pack) size is a great value and lasts a long time, especially if you use coconut oil regularly. The texture is smooth and melts easily when heated, which makes it very convenient for cooking. The container is full with no air bubbles, so you get a full 54 oz. Overall, this is a high-quality coconut oil at a great price, and I will definitely keep buying it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a versatile and natural coconut oil!

I love Coconuts. I love coconut oil even more. Nutiva is a great brand for coconut oil. I really like this size container. I use the 54 oz. tub in the kitchen, and this one for topical usage. PEOPLE (who don't use coconut oil) STOP USING VEGETABLE OIL. If you are willing to skip junk food twice out of the week, then you can spend the money you save to buy coconut oil- it smells amazing, it cooks amazing, it's delicious, snow white, and is great for chapped lips. We can all help to put an end to this ridiculous myth of saturated fat being bad and unsaturated fat being good. The myths about fat making you fat and other diet-related myths perpetuate the 60-year old lie that high cholesterol/high fat is bad. Eat fat! It's delicious, nutritious, and won't harm your brain the way many vegetable oils/some seed oils do.(Unless it's fat from animals that have been eating things outside of their nature-intended diet... cows eating corn for example...then the fat is filled with toxins and are no good.)Eat coconut oil and you won't have to worry about any of that. (What, did you think that you can eat all the omega-6 you want? Do you like inflammation and other nasty long-term side effects from having an imbalance of Omega-6/omega-3? Trust me, it's worth a google.) Here was my original review of Nutiva Coconut oil in the larger size: I had high expectations when ordering Nutiva Coconut Oil because I had recently discovered that America has been lied to about unsaturated fats and saturated fats for years, and that if I want to lose weight, then I should stick to what my taste buds naturally love- Saturated fat! Nutiva Coconut Oil has gone above and beyond meeting my expectations. I am blown away! It satisfied what I expected: 1. The smell is pleasant and sweet, bold and aromatic. 2. The taste is full-bodied and rich. 3. Snow White in color, smooth and creamy texture. I could definitely see myself using a pat of this on my toast instead of butter. 4. After cooking it, the aroma of coconut fills the room. 5. The high heat tolerance of coconut oil is wonderful. It cooked my steak and burger perfectly. No longer will I deal with the olive oil smoking on the pan which indicates trans fat having been created. (although olive oil is good for you, it's still partly unsaturated so it really shouldn't be heated to a high temperature like during cooking. It's better than poly-unsaturated, but saturated will always be better than unsaturated fats- mono or poly.) Going BEYOND my expectations: A. Out of curiosity last night, I dabbed some coconut oil on my chapped lips as soon as I opened the jar and laid eyes on the lovely white butter in front of me. This morning, as I'm writing this review, I lick my lips and feel that my lips are now smooth, soft, and not chapped at all! I am so amazed! That has never happened; it's like magic! B. I just read that coconut oil may help to prevent and treat dementia and Alzheimer's. I am going to tell my parents immediately! If I could give ten stars, I would!

Coconut oil is a must need staple for any household! This is the best I have found, 1st I love that its organic, 2nd virgin and cold pressed and unrefined is Exactly what you want. This retains the most beneficial properties of the coconut oil. You can use this coconut oil for skin care as well as cooking. This is why Quality is Sooooooooooo Important. I love the smooth texture of this oil and value for the money. A little goes a long way too. The taste, you will definitely taste the coconut and it is the best ever, especially when oil pooling. It leaves a really relaxing scent while using as a body moisturizer too! I highly recommend this coconut oil!

This is a good deal for the price. A jar of coconut oil at my local grocery store is $10. So two jars for $15 is a great savings. I wanted two jars so I could have one to cook with/eat and one to use for the body. Coconut oil in itself is a solid at room temperature. It becomes a liquid at 76 degrees. When it comes shipped to you, it will likely be a solid, especially if it is fall or winter and you live in the north. I bought this because it is organic and cold pressed. Coconut oil is a great product. I started reading about it when my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. There is information out there that says it can help delay or reverse Alzheimer's. Do your own research on that if you have a family member with Alzheimer's. I would like to prevent the chance of getting Alzheimer's so this will be a product that will be in my house for years to come. Your body does not metabolize coconut oil like it does other oils. Calorie-for-calorie, it is not the same as eating a tablespoon of olive or vegetable oil. It goes straight to your live and goes where needed, it is not stored as fat to turn into fat. Sometimes I just eat a tablespoon of the oil in the morning - it makes me feel full so I eat less during the day, and makes gives me some energy. The taste of the product is pleasant. You have to get used to downing the oil - some people may have issues with the texture of eating it straight. If you add it to a smoothie that has ice in it, it will curdle...which can also cause texture issues. So if you add it to a smoothie, add it before adding anything cold and mixing it. I have added a little chocolate to a tablespoon of oil, froze and then eaten it. It is pretty good, and the texture is better than just downing it. For the body, coconut oil is great for your hair. You need to put it in your hair, let it sit for 30 minutes and then wash it twice to get all the oil out of it. You could cover your hair with a cap and then heat the hair on low for 15 minutes to speed up the process. It will make your hair smooth and healthier. It needs to sit on your head for 30 minutes so it can have time to open the cuticle and penetrate the cuticle. Since I started using coconut oil in my hair, my hair is much smoother, shinier and healthier. I also put coconut oil on my body after coming out of the shower. I used to use a popular yellow face cream that is a 'drink for your skin', but find that I much prefer the coconut oil to moisturize my face and body. It is also a good natural lubricant in the bedroom. :D Instead of using vegetable or olive oil when popping your popcorn, use coconut oil instead. The oil is much healthier for you, and you don't really taste the coconut. I much prefer the flavor of the coconut oil. Add a little salt and you are good to go. I have bought the brand at my local grocery store, and it is also organic and cold-pressed - I don't notice much difference between the two as far as flavor or quality. I think both are a good product. Just be sure to buy coconut oil that is organic and cold-pressed when buying coconut oil. I think this is a great brand. As far as ordering and shipping - ordering was easy, it shipped in its own box and came to me the next day. I was very satisfied with that process.

Good for a facial

I never felt strongly about coconut oil before I tried this product. In my mind, coconut oil was just another cooking oil in my cooking toolkit: It's oil. It does its job. Sometimes, it has a slightly coconutty taste. But this product, my friends, will change your minds about coconut oil. And dare I say, your lives. I didn't think I could fall in love with coconut oil until I tried this one. Before buying this product, I had always purchased refined coconut oil, thinking that it was more "mild" and "less coconutty", which I (incorrectly) assumed was better for cooking. The internet will tell you that virgin coconut oil will give you more of a coconut taste. That's what I had always believed, so I didn't think that would be for me. But one day, I was feeling adventurous, and thought "you only live once"... so I drank my glass of wine, pressed that "buy now" button, and smiled mischievously at the thought of making a few extra coconutty bakes for my coworkers and loved ones. Then this beautiful jar arrived, and My God, was I wrong about everything. This is the best coconut oil I have ever had, and have ever had the pleasure of cooking with. The taste? PURE COCONUT BUTTER HEAVEN - like if coconuts were delightful butter babies that produced the most joyful, moist, delectable substance made out of love, hope, and happiness. It had style! It had flair! It was there! No, but in all seriousness, one taste and my heart stopped, grew three sizes bigger, and embraced this newfound world that I had shut off for so much of my life. If only previous me knew what she was missing! For my cooks out there, this stuff cooks better, tastes better, bakes better, blends better, and even drinks better than any conventional coconut oil on the market. I have made cookies, brownies, cakes, savory dishes, casseroles, soups, smoothies, and more with this little jar of superpowered scrumptiousness. What more can I say? Drink a glass of wine, order this, and upgrade your cooking adventures.

This has to be one of the best products I have ever bought for my health. I have had problems with my teeth for as long as I can remember and can't remember ever going to a dentist without getting a tooth filled. I used to blame it on all of the junk I ate as a child, but now I mostly blame it on genetics! Out of four kids, I am the only one with a different father, and my siblings ALL have near perfect teeth. The funny thing is that they barely practice good oral care and yet I still get all of the problems. Interesting! Anyways, I am a huge advocate for natural remedies when it comes to my health. I don't like taking medicine or having to have procedures done to solve a problem. Of course if it needs to be done, I would do it. But I it never seemed to hurt to go a more natural route. I was becoming very depressed at the fact that I always seemed to have a captivity when I would go to the dentist. I followed all of the dentist's regimens of care, including flossing, fluoride mouth wash, fluoride tooth paste, and none of it was helping. Call me crazy, but it actually seemed to make things worse. I began to notice that whenever I used fluoride anything, my teeth would ache and feel more sensitive than usual. I even cut out the obvious foods, like candy, soda, and anything that had sugar it it really. Even that did not make a huge difference. I had my last filling about a year and a half ago, and that was when I said enough is enough! I began to do my research to see if there was any other option for me and came across something called oil pulling. Oil pulling is a process where you take a spoonful of 100% natural coconut oil or any oil and swish it around your mouth for 5-10 minutes or longer, pulling the oil through your teeth. I have never heard of this before and there wasn't really anything to be skeptical about swishing around 100% organic virgin coconut oil, so I gave it a go! The product arrived and the tub was bigger than I thought (Not a bad thing!). You get a lot of coconut oil for the price. I began oil pulling with it that night and I have never turned back. Swishing the oil around is the most uncomfortable thing to do at first: it is very thick and coats your mouth! However, after doing it twice a day for a week, it became a natural routine and it didn't bother me at all. After the first week, I noticed not only that my teeth hurt less and were less sensitive, but my teeth were also WHITER. My mouth always feels healthy now and I have not experienced any problems since before I have started this regimen. I have experienced such a positive change in my oral health that no longer brush my teeth with fluoride tooth paste. I now actually brush my teeth with the coconut oil. My teeth feel way cleaner and I have noticed that it some how magically gets rid of all the tartar build up, leaving my teeth white, slippery and clean! To top it all off, I went to the dentist about a month ago and he told me that "everything looked great!" and that there was NO SIGN of cavities. Interesting, because one of the last times I was there he told me there were two small cavities on the upper right. I am not saying that the oil "healed" my cavities, but they are definitely not there anymore! For the first time in my life I walked out of the dentist office feeling really great about myself. I am so happy I found this product! Natural is always the best route in my opinion, and I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for healthier alternatives!

Excellent deal! Smells coconut fresh, from what I've researched it's fair and quality all around I will buy it regular for this price for sure. Clean and awesome without plastic hints at all!

Bought this as it kept on being advertised all over social media. It is packed in a plastic jar but it still lasted really well. Compared to the organic options on the market (which I have tried a few and usually they were packed in glass containers), this smelled and tasted a lot more like how I imagined coconut oil to be. I have used it a lot for cooking and baking and it has not disappointed. I have purchased the small jar as well as the large one (with the large I had an issue with a short expiration date, but upon contacting the seller everything was sorted) and will be purchasing them again. This product worked well for me so I will buy it again.

The oil is of fresh stock. It tastes yummy. I have been using Nutiva coconut oil for years now. But this time I ordered this big 54 ounce jar. And I am going to continue to order this . I have one table spoon oil off the spoon four days a week. I temper or garnish south Indian style vegetables and gravy with this and tastes yummy. It is tasty nutritious, an essential source of good fat, antifungal anti bacterial . Love it.
