Good quality
The quality of these long John's is good. 100% cotton, very soft. The length is just past the ankle and the fit is slim without being baggy or too tight. The seams look rugged. They keep me warm when I'm outside in the cold down to about 20 degrees as long as I am moving around some.

durable. better than fruit-of-the-loom
I tried a few brands, and honestly, these Indera brand ones were the thickest fabric. had trouble with both fruit of the loom and smart wool just... tearing when you pull them on. I get that I could be gentler, but I've never in my life had basic clothes be so fragile! (referring to the other two brands) These had thicker cotton that held up better. and were cheaper. I would buy again if they keep the quality up. (purchased in late 2024 for reference) accurate sizing as well.

Cheap but Warm
I bought 3 pairs back in November 2018 and all 3 have issues with holes and tears. One had the stitching in the crotch blow out when in the washing machine pretty early on, maybe late December. One just recently had the stitching next to the left knee go out so there's a huge hole there, as well as the stitching in the seat ripping out. The third pair is mostly fine with small tears throughout the legs, but no large holes. They're quite warm and comfortable, and even though they have no stretch to them the extra panel in the seat gives a surprising amount of mobility. They're warm enough to not feel like I need more layers with these and my work pants down to ~28F. They are definitely a warmer material than my nylon Buck Naked Duluth base layer bottoms, they're just not as well built. Even though I'll have to replace them for next winter, they served their purpose for me quite well, and they're cheap enough that it doesn't hurt the wallet to replace them next year. If you're looking for seasonal base layers that you don't mind needing to replace after regular heavy use after 3-4 months, these will do as long as the crotch or seat stitching doesn't come out.

They are long and johnny.
Long Johns. Great when it's cold. Not so good in the summer.

Shrinks Horribly & Sizing Runs Small
They shrink horribly and they run small to begin with. The first time I washed/dried them, they shrunk so bad my boyfriend couldn’t wear them anymore, so I started wearing them. I washed/dried them a second time, and dried them on low heat, and they shrunk even more to where I cannot even get them over my ankle/foot to get them on. If you’re going to buy them, go up 3 sizes.

Happy Husband
Bought for my husband because his work is outside and the winter months get bad up in the North East. True to the size and helped to keep him warm. They are durable and he wears them this winter also.
