absolutely brilliant bit of kit
I recently purchased the Riopngy Trailer Tester 7 Pin 12V Trailer Plug Socket Trailer Light Circuit Tester, and it has proven to be an invaluable tool in my journey of trailer ownership. Although I hadn't yet installed a tow bar on my vehicle, this tester allowed me to diagnose and troubleshoot any issues with my trailer's electrical connections effortlessly. The compact design and user-friendly interface of this tester make it incredibly convenient to use. The black color adds a sleek touch, and the device feels sturdy and well-built. It came with clear instructions that even a novice like me could easily understand. One of the standout features of this tester is its ability to check the circuitry of the trailer's lights. With the flick of a switch, I could determine whether the brake lights, turn signals, and tail lights were functioning properly. This feature gave me peace of mind knowing that my trailer would be visible and safe on the road.Another aspect I appreciated about this tester is its compatibility with 7-pin trailer plugs. It accurately detected any wiring faults or loose connections, allowing me to address them before hitting the road. I was able to identify and fix issues such as faulty grounds and corroded connectors, ensuring a reliable and efficient electrical system for my trailer. What impressed me the most was the resistance trailer plug connector recorder function. It allowed me to record the results of my tests, making it easier to track and compare any changes or improvements over time. This feature proved invaluable when discussing potential issues with professionals or seeking advice from fellow trailer owners.Though I initially purchased this tester without having a tow bar installed on my vehicle, it turned out to be a smart decision. It allowed me to preemptively detect and resolve any wiring issues, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free towing experience once I installed the tow bar.Overall, I highly recommend the Riopngy Trailer Tester 7 Pin 12V Trailer Plug Socket Trailer Light Circuit Tester. Its reliability, ease of use, and comprehensive testing capabilities make it an essential tool for anyone owning or maintaining a trailer. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced trailer owner, this tester will save you time, money, and headaches by simplifying the process of diagnosing and resolving electrical connection problems.

Very good value.
This is almost suspiciously inexpensive but it did the job perfectly: testing the car. I haven't used it to test the trailer yet since I will be renting that and didn't want to turn up and find my car's wiring was defective. It also comes with two 13:7 pin adaptors - shown in the images but not mentioned in the text, so I wasn't sure. Others don't and/or cost more. Instructions are gibberish but you can figure it out. It requires one 9V battery (not supplied).

Ok
Found that the yellow button only worked on my car with no bypass relay, the other car with a bypass showed when the function was in use ( lights, brake, hazards) so still usable just a longer process
