Pokemon Felties: How to Make 16 of Your Favorite Pokemon

I love this little book! I wanted something crafty to do when I wanted to relax (I love sewing, but hand sewing is a lot less stressful) and this is such a cute way to unwind! Even though the book only gives you 16 Pokemon, with all the tips and tricks you use for those you can easily make any of the others hundreds of pokemon! The instructions are very easy to read and follow, definitely recommend for kid and adult pokemon lovers alike =)The book DOES only come with enough stuff to make Pikachu, but if you read all the way down in the description it says it only comes with it, even IN the book itself it says this. Even though it only comes with enough stuff for Pikachu, supplies for the other ones are pretty inexpensive.

Fun project with kids that like Pokemon. Too bad they only had fabric for one Pikachu but it was not hard to find what we needed at local stores.

The book is easy to follow and if you’re expierenced with sewing felts easy to adjust. I didn’t give it 5 stars because they do not give you templates (they expect you to scan and copy each template page), they have unnecessarily difficult sequin embellishments that I replaced with drawing eyes on felt then sewing them on, and because compared to other sets it costs a lot when you consider they don’t give you supplies (and finding correct colors for characters is difficult). That being said the resulting characters are so cute and once you figure out your approach they’re really fun. You can find a number of free Pokémon templates and tutorials on Pinterest though, so that’s something to consider.

The kids loved making these. The instructions were clear enough that they could follow them without too much supervision. One quick trip to the craft store and we were in business! The kit does have some supplies (enough to make Pikachu), but we wanted to make different ones. It kept the kids entertained for a few hours.

We won't be keeping this. I *did* read the horrible reviews about it before purchasing it, but I still wanted to try giving it a chance since my oldest loves Pokemon and loves sewing felt creatures. It wasn't a problem to me that it only comes with enough felt for one Pikachu, because it's easy to purchase squares of felt in all colors, and we have a lot of materials at home from making other felt creature projects, so I wasn't deterred my the negative reviews that mentioned that. However, these particular "felties" are VERY HARD - Super duper complicated instructions to the point where you just lose interest trying to do these tiny details. We're not exactly beginners here, but these are just not simple enough for us.

I got these as a gift for my boss's kid. They loved it, and were ecstatic. The kid LOVES Pokemon. I didn't pay attention to how much sewing and effort had to go into this, so for younger kids it's a little challenging.I intended for them to work on the project together, but unfortunately that only works if the parent is available to craft with their kid, or if they are crafty themselves. I'd say it could've been better with just glueing precut shapes together. Overall cute idea though!

Hours and Hours of fun for my kids. They are Pokemon fans so finding a craft for them to do that entailed Pokemon was a hit. Directions were easy to follow. My 8yr old was able to copy and cut templates on his own. We loved this kit. The only thing I wished for was extra material for them to do more than one of each character.

Es sind sehr einfache Schnittmuster auch super für Kinder zum nachmachen, das Komplette Buch ist auf Englisch (das wusste ich vorweg und stört mich auch nicht, wer etwas Englisch kann wird es verstehen und damit klar kommen) es sind die Starter Pokemon der verschiedenen Generationen im Buch. Meine Meinung für jeden Pokemon Fan und Nähfan ist dieses Buch eine Kaufempfehlung, Preis und Leistung ist auch Ok

My daughter loves the idea of making her own Pokemon. Just wish it came with the supplies to build them.

The other reviews are right, only enough material comes to make the one and first design in the book, aka the iconic Pikachu. I'm Disappointed I have cut out the shapes, also having to photocopy or trace the first Pikachu image beforehand in order to make.
