I'm using it as a pool cover pump to remove water after heavy rains. I have a 16 x 32 inground pool, so no telling how many gallons the cover collects when we get 2"-3" of rain over a few days. Works good, but does not move water too quickly. I am using the small diameter hose and one of the fittings that it came with, so maybe this could be improved if I purchased a larger (adapter) fitting and larger diameter hose. Very happy that it came with a long cord and the included hose and several different fittings. Packaging was great, no issues. For the price, I'm happy with it. Have used it a few times and it has been plugged in for several hours each time and takes water down to a very minimal level as advertised. I am enjoying the ease of using this pump vs. dragging out my larger sump pump each time that I had previously been using.

This is a life saver. I've used a much heavier pump until it stopped working. This little pump is excellent. It is not so heavy that it causes the cover to sink. It is just the perfect weight to pump water out of the cover and works very fast and efficiently. Not issue at all setting it up. It comes with a hose that can be easily attached. I wish the hose was a just a few more feet longer. Overall this is a great pump. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Pump works pretty well and does what it should. The power cord length is awesome. The one downside is the clear hose that was included. It is VERY kinked in like 10 different places where they folded it instead of rolling it up. The pump works with this hose but it will not pump at full capacity using it. Sad cause the hose seems to be pretty good quality if it wasn't ruined.

This little pump is small but mighty it works well it pumped 5 in water off of my pool cover in minutes I did not get the one with the automatic shut off so I had to watch it. The Little net bag that comes with it is great you put the pump inside the bag even if there are leaves in the pool it will suck all the water out without blocking up definitely worth the money and it wasn't a lot of money.

I got this Submersible Sump Pool Cover Pump for my Above Ground about a month ago. The pump works fantastic and as describe. It pumps the water off the cover quickly. My biggest feature is the authorship off feature, so we’re no longer needing to keep an eye on it to make sure the motor doesn't burn out. It is compact, setting up was easy, convenient, easy to slide out onto the cover and well constructed. I like the fact that I don't have to attach a base or have a second cord to deal with for the automatic float. The cord is long enough to reach my outlet without an extension, a big bonus. Great investment to my pool and the price was a steal. Highly recommended!!!

Update : the 90 degree fitting worked, I used the pump several times over the summer and the pump held up, you just have to be careful how you lay the hose out. The hose is soft, flimsy and won't stand on it's own without kinking . The pump is not strong enough to keep the flow going to prevent the hose from kinking. Some of the issue could be the 90 degree temps we are having which may make the hose softer than usual. The pump doesn't come with a 90 degree fitting (or a 45 degree fitting like advertised) so that the hose can lay flat on the pool cover, the straight barbed fitting means that the hose has to be vertical above the pump but it's too soft to support it's own weight and easily folds over and prevents the pump from operating. I will go to Lowes and buy a 1/2" MIP to 1/2" barb fitting and see if that helps but, that's another $4 and I worry that the pump is so light weight that it may cause the pump to tip over with the weight of the hose hanging off of the side. A better hose that wouldn't kink would cost over $20 so if this doesn't work I will have to return it.

Work very well for a big spa

This worked very well for me and almost cleaned out my pool entirely to empty it. Excellent value for money.

Spend the money on one that's more powerful. Takes too long to drain water. Do not recommend
