Wonderful Headset!
I work from home and have been using this headset for a few weeks. I absolutely love it! Yes, it's a bit pricey but so worth it! If you're considering it, go for it and buy it. Can't beat the 6 months same as cash option either.

Feature Rich & Nice Quality, but Battery Life Should be Longer
This review is for Plantronics Savi 8245 Noise Canceling Mono Wireless Headset - MS Certified. I have been using this headset regularly for over a year. It was, and still is, the best headset I could find for the features I needed. I use a similar, lower model, at the office for years. So, I looked to Plantronics for my home office one. I needed one that I could sync to my desk phone, cellphone, and my Windows PC. This one turned out to be the perfect solution for that. I also use the dual battery feature regularly (more about that later). The headset is very comfortable, and I can wear it for hours at a time without issue. The call quality is excellent, and the range is very good. I can be anywhere in the house and have full clarity. There is a volume and mute button on the headset, and you can quickly switch between desk phone, cellphone, and computer quickly by pressing the corresponding button on the base. There is also a Bluetooth on/off button on the base as well. The only complaint I have is battery life. Now on to the battery. This is literally the only complain that I have. I have had multiple phone calls where the battery has died. You will get multiple warning messages telling you battery low or charge battery well before the battery dies, so that is a plus. I seem to get somewhere between 1-2 hours per battery charge. Fortunately, there is a second battery that charges inside base, so you can swap the batteries quickly. I have had to swap the batteries on multiple calls. This is still the best phone I have been able to find for call quality and features.

Best headset. Light weight and has sizes and options. The back up battery is amazing
Best headset I've used. Heard good things and they were all true. I like the backup battery alot. Used it for 10 hours a day and only need to change the battery once. If you dock the headset and the second battery is charging they fill up really fast, quicker than you can use it making it nearly impossible to run out of battery.

Will only work for some conferencing software
The headset automatically hangs up the moment it connects with certain conferencing apps like Google, and Zoom. It does work for Teams but that's it. Their tech support phone number will immediately hang up on you after you select tech support. There is zero documentation about this issue.I've used Plantronics headsets for years but this is my first Poly after the acquisition and they've already changed their name twice since I bought this headset and now have been acquired by HP.HP doesn't provide a way to support the product either.Seriously a terrible product and it's clear Poly is a terrible company. I really wish I could get my money back but I had to stick with this headset for work and it wasn't feasible to buy a new one at that time cuz I JUST started my job. Unfortunately I passed the 30 day return period so I'm stuck with a VERY expensive headset that works for pretty much only one conferencing app, Teams. Fortunately that's most of my meetings but all other meetings I can't use my headset for.So disappointed in Poly and they simply don't care cuz you can't even work with their tech support since again, it automatically hangs up once you select Option 3 for Tech Support :\

AVOID FOR PC USE - Yet another with HORRIBLE microphone quality
I've been through about 10 various wireless headsets in search of one that is NOT locked at either 8hz or 16hz in Windows (as that's considered "radio" or "cassette" quality) and it SURE is. If you're planning to use this with a land line or PBX sure, it'll be fine since the audio quality there is terrible. But if you're planning to use this with a PC for VoIP (Discord, Skype, etc) it SUCKS - everyone you talk to will hear you as this awful, muted sounding low quality mess. I don't understand how these can be so expensive and ALL sound so TERRIBLE.

Better in some ways to W720, worse in the most important
So I've used the Plantronics W720 for 2+ years and loved it, but unfortunately the battery eventually wouldn't hold a charge (happens w/ all devices), I considered just purchasing a new earpiece, but opted to 'upgrade' to the 8245...the removeable battery and second battery sold me on the 'unlimited' talk time...but honestly the headset is painful to wear! The arm behind the ear is extremely uncomfortable and the placement in the ear is also uncomfortable. I've tried all the different sizes for both include in the box and I just can't get a good fit that doesn't hurt after 1+ hours of use...I can't wait to get it off my ear....in contrast I could wear the W720 for hours (often almost forget it was on)...sad that functionality was a priority over comfort, especially for something that is on your head as long as this is....I highly recommend the W720...I'm starting to regret the 8245, hopefully I can find some 'upgrades' to make it more comfortable or this might just need to be returned. Disappointing....(everything else is great....call quality, clarity, range, etc and I LOVE the mute button - W720 didn't have that)
