Finish Line Easy-Pro 5 Piece Mechanic's Brush Set

Good set for cleaning and maintaining bikes.

The Finish Line Easy Pro Brush Set is for what I can tell so far, the best brush set for cleaning my MTB, especially for the price. The set consists of 5 various brushes & a 5mm ball chain. The ball chain is a great little bonus, that I use to keep all my brushes together & hang them to dry after using them. The brushes are designed to use for different parts & components of the bike. There is a small brush & a small spiral brush (I used to use a toothbrush) to clean the cassette & derailleur, & also to get into those tight spaces of the frame that often get missed. A “loop” brush to clean all around your cranks, tires, spikes & hubs. A large soft bristle brush for general frame cleaning. Lastly is a paint brush style brush that can be used to sweep away dust & dry particles from your frame & crank set (don’t think I’ll get much use out of this one). With a set like this, I’m sure there are numerous cleaning chores they can tackle. The brushes are not heavy. The handles are some type of plastic & have synthetic bristles. Only time will tell how long these will last. I’ll try to remember to update this review w/that info. For the price, this is a great set of brushes to keep your bike, motorcycle , scooter or whatever you have, clean. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope you found it helpful.

These brushes have been great for washing my road bike. The brush varieties let you get into all the crevices and hard-to-reach places so that you can thoroughly clean your bike. I haven't had the brushes long enough to be able to comment on their durability, but I've got no reason to suspect that will be a problem.

I've had this a while now. It works great but I wish the metal parts were all stainless steel. They are rusting some. Not a big problem yet but the product would be perfect if it was rustproof.

Good, diverse set of brushes. Can cover many needs. Quality seems fine/durable.

A wonderful selection of brushes to clean my bikes

This Finish Line brush set is... fine. It's five brushes. They have bristles. You can use them to brush dirt off your bike. The little toothbrush one is great for getting gunk out of the cassette, and the spiral brush is decent for derailleurs. For the price, you get what you pay for. The problem is, they feel a bit like they're going to snap in half if you look at them too hard. The plastic is cheap, and the bristles on a couple of them started to get bent out of shape after just one really muddy ride. They're not exactly "mechanic-grade" as the name suggests; they're more "I'm-doing-a-quick-wash-before-my-ride-and-I-don't-want-to-use-an-old-toothbrush-from-the-bathroom" grade. They'll do the job, but they're not going to change your bike-cleaning life. It's a perfectly average product. It's the bicycle equivalent of a shrug. Three stars for existing and for being marginally better than using a stick.
