This paint glows! No UV or blacklight required.
I did not have high hopes about finding glow-in-the-dark paint that worked well for a paper arts project however, this does!!! I studied reviews and product descriptions and found a blog that mentioned this product as working without special lighting requirements. And, it really does! I have charged my cards in the sun, with a flashlight, and overhead lamps. All worked. Please note that this type of paint is watery and gritty due to the nature of how the ingredients to make this type of paint works. It is true of most G-I-T-D paint. However, that being said, that makes it very easy to mix properly for great results. I shook the paints thoroughly first, then mixed with a stir stick until the "grit" is well dispersed through the liquid. The grit is what makes the glow, so keeping it mixed as you work is key to success. These paints are made in Germany. They are smaller bottles but have plenty for a variety of projects. I made 12 hand painted cards and i still have plenty to paint so many more! All 8 colors are really cool and make a nice variety to the glow effects! Will definitely purchase again!

Good quality pigments nice paint.
I like the texture & density of the pigment in these paints. Good materials & coats very well. Can even be spread extra thickly & sanded afterwards. I posted a review earlier that these didn’t glow, well, in the dark. I discovered that they do, but you have to charge them properly. A quality, UV light is the way to go. Interestingly enough, the material “charges” better dry than wet. To get the entire surface, being covered to glow, it requires several coats & a thick layer or it will leave spaces that don’t glow. The glowing pigments are small particles in the paint. YOU MUST BE CERTAIN TO MIX IT COMPLETELY, to distribute the glowing particles throughout the paint. They are heavy & will settle to the bottom, even if you are painting from a pallet or surface the material has been transferred to, from the jar, it must, be keep it fully mixed if you want the glowing effect, on the surface you are painting. Stirring is best. Shaking won’t do the job & also fills the paint with bubbles. The best way to get the phosphorus, glowing particles onto the surface you are painting, is to dip your brush directly into the jar after mixing it. I believe, I made the mistake of painting from the lid & there were very few of the particles there. It’s excellent paint & will cover well if you allow it to dry between coats. It’s a versatile paint, with a very high volume of pigments, to provide a nice dense color when finished drying. Good stuff!!

Review Broken Down By Color
I'm going to go ahead and review each color individually, but because I bought this set specifically for the "red" color, I'm going to start there. Despite the fact that that colors review isn't thoroughly pleased, I want y'all to know that there were definitely some great colors in here. Oh, and let me say this, which is a definitely positive point: each color has matching metallic sparkles in it, compared to some metallic paints, which have a base color of paint of the intended color and then silver sparkles/metallic bits in it. Again, I consider that a main good thing about these paints. Red -- when I bought the set, I was looking for a metallic red color that was, at the least, much like the picture: somewhat deep, somewhat intense, and DEFINITELY red (at the very least). Instead, what I have here is a metallic PINK (I would bold, italicize, and underline that word "PINK" three times, if I could). An arguably pretty pink, but a pink nonetheless. I ended up having to Frankenstein my own sort of reddish color to the best of my ability, which I give solidly mixed marks/results. Orange -- decent, but a little sheer. Arguably a "burnt" sort of orange look. Bronze -- compared to the other paints, this one looks great except two things: (1) it's INCREDIBLY thin, watery even (and is MUCH thinner than all the other paints in the set), and (2) it's a different sort if metallic look, at least in the jar. What I mean is that it looks more like aluminum foil looks metallic, compared to paint with shiny sparkly bits in it, which is what the rest of the paints are. That isn't to say that there aren't sparkly bits in the bronze, but more that it features BOTH sorts of metallic features. This paint is basically and overall very, VERY different from literally every other color in the set. Gold -- sort of a green gold, as opposed to a warmer yellow with a hint of orange gold, but that has a fair place in the world of acrylic paints. Blue, green, and black -- THESE COLORS LOOK AWESOME! They're deep and bright and semi-opaque and brilliant. I'm honestly VERY excited to do a few models (I make model cars, hence my need for metallic red paint) in those colors specifically!!! Silver -- this is more like a very, very light silver, almost a white, with white or very light silver sparkles in it. I like it, but ultimately, the paint base in it is VERY sheer without being thin. However, I think that that's ultimate even better for this paint, because it allows whatever color you have painted underneath a coat of this color to shine from underneath, although it will be lightened from it and will look definitely or at least mostly silver when viewed from an angle.

Metallic paints
They are small which I expected reading other reviews. My problem is, no gold. I need gold metallic and it has none. It came with blue, red (assuming that's what you think is bronze or copper?), green, black, copper/rosy color and a color idk what it is and the consistency of that unknown blueish gray was watery and instead of gold I got 2 of those watery weird colors. Won't order these again. Not returning cause I can probably use some of them on projects in the future. The picture shows the color gold and the description. Get it right or you'll lose more customers. This is your cover message. Craft Metallic Paint - Set of 8 - Multicolor + Gold, Silver, Bronze, Copper - Shiny Metallic Effect - Premium Acrylic Paint - Extreme High Metall Pigmentation No gold. 😤 I posted pics. Thanks.
