Great hammer, gets the price done at a great price. I had a pallet I needed to take apart, so needed something a little bigger and heavier than my stubby or nail hammer for the pry bar. But as a DIYer I also didn't want to spend a forute on a hammer I'm rarely going to need. This did the job great. Perfect for my use... It felt heavy enough but also still comfortable to hold. Also quite a nice sized handle for me at least. Will be handy to keep in the tool bag for the next time it's needed. The claw also worked great for removing the nails from the pallet slats. Considering how cheap this is I'd definitely reccomend.

This claw hammer was well made and was sturdily built, it coped well with removing rusted in naails from timber and brickwork. The handle I was particularly pleased with as my previous hammer’s handle broke when confronted with large rusted in nails

Great value hammer. Used regularly and no complaints very good quality. I would recommend for every day use.

Firstly: The extra weight on this hammer is a bloody god send, reducing the distance of the back swing needed to apply a good solid whack. It has a nice flat whacking surface so is not inclined to bend nails if you don't hit it right in the middle (why do they even bother making claw hammers with rounded faces???). Both the handle and the head passed the whack test with flying colours. The handle is solid as any hammer I've ever used and the material provides nice grip even with gloves on. It is a nicely shaped handle without any stupid "ergonomic" curve (so can be used sideways in tight spaces without having to tilt the wrist) but still with a fattened butt to stop you slipping on a longer grip. Haven't tried pulling any nails yet but they've opted for a chunkier, robust design with the claws. Instead of the flatter "bladed" ones which round off so quickly and pretty much stop gripping after a few too many tough pulls, they've opted for a blunter inner face to the claws, which will still grab prominent nails with no fuss and more tolerance to wear but I guess will require tapping on to more flush nails to grip them or clever use of leverage to sort of squeeze the claws around it as you lever it out. I usually prefer a nail bar anyway. All in all, a brilliant whacking implement and you can rest rest assured I'll be whacking away all night long with my bigger than average tool. Then after that I'll be using this hammer at work. PS the brand is "DIY Doctor" but I see no reason why this is not suitable for trade. I am a tradesman, by the way. I whack stuff with hammers for money, you know.
