for easy meals that dont weigh you down. Good texture (like slightly overcooked pasta)
Worth the try! Season it up however you want, add whatever you want. Entire can is just 60 cals and has 6 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein. Not too shabby! I like it and ordered more. I received all of my order, but yes, most of the cans have some denting. Not concerned, and will happily consume all of these and buy some more. This is my first time trying "spaghetti" made from hearts of palm. Neutral flavor. Maybe hint of artichoke. Dissipates completely with seasonings. I rinsed the contents of can then heat in pan with olive oil . I added parsley, garlic powder, salt, seasoned pepper and a generous pour of dried Kale . It didnt fry up any, but it allowed the flavor of the seasonings to unfold and to meld with the "pasta". As a hungry girl, I decided to add a whole avocado to my plate, as well as an entire sliced tomato which I sprinkled with a little B07NS5RVVF balsamic glaze . Additional salt, fresh ground pepper, and crushed pepper over it all. All together it was divine. Light and nutritious. Good mouth feel. Like slightly overcooked pasta. I dont do "diets". I just like food. I benefit from eating less, eating light, but by no means do I totally avoid any food. For my lunches, I like stuff like this. Easy, minimal cooking, nutritious. Versatile-- serves as nice base for whatever I feel like adding in. Next time I will try it with nutritional yeast to give it a cheesy esque flavor. I am not vegan or vegetarian. I just dont always want to use cheese. Or I may do it up again with olive oil then add fresh grated parm or pecorino cheese. Maybe add in a can of diced tomatoes. Doubt I would use this with actual sauce. I'll use regular pasta for that. Perhaps I will try half and half. Use this and add in a little real pasta so I am getting the taste and mouth feel but not as much of the calories and refined carbs. I also plan on doing a "noodle bowl" but using this instead of ramen. That'll be a game changer as far as calories. Or once again I can add the two together rather than using all regular ramen. Hmm. I find this tastier and easier to work with than shiritaki noodles, which I have been using on and off for 20 years. Better mouth feel with the hearts of palm. Ive already ordered more. I see no down side to eating this every day. Is it filling? eh.. depends I suppose what you do with it. Although I ate an entire can (Like a small bowl, or half a sandwich plate), an entire avocado, and an entire tomato, I could easily eat more of something. I am a big eater though. Big gal with big appetite. Though keep in mind that it was my first meal after being up for 4 hours. Like I dont want a lot more, but I feel snackish.

Almost Indistinguishable from the Real Thing
This literally changed my life. I have an extremely slow metabolism to the extent that I have the caloric requirements of a 2 year old as a very tall adult woman, and I’m not able to eat traditional meals anymore without gaining weight. Palmini has enabled me to finally enjoy spaghetti again. The taste and even the texture (if you boil it for the recommended ten minutes) are EXACTLY like traditional angel hair spaghetti, and it absorbs the flavor of the sauce like a DREAM without absorbing the sauce itself, so you require very little sauce for a lot of noodles. It is delicious. The taste is indistinguishable from traditional spaghetti. The ONLY difference is that it makes a different noise when you bite down, and you have to bite maybe a little harder to chew. You forget you’re not eating traditional spaghetti about halfway through the meal. It is FANTASTIC, and it is less than 400 calories for a generous portion size with a good amount of sauce and mozzarella cheese mixed in as pictured. I am a very picky eater, especially when it comes to textures, so believe me when I say it’s good! Since a little bit of sauce goes a long way, I could have easily doubled the portion size in my picture for only 60 additional calories. Plus, it’s incredible for you. It’s full of vitamins and has more nutritional value than a salad while feeling and tasting exactly like spaghetti. It’s shelf stable, keeps for years at a time, and technically you don’t even have to boil it if you don’t want to (I haven’t tried it without boiling it so I can’t speak to that method of preparation). This is my new favorite meal. It’s amazing to eat my favorite food guilt free. I was so hesitant to try it because I’ve been wary of noodle substitutes in the past, but it has completely changed my life and reinvigorated my love for food. I eat this almost every night for supper, and it makes me feel better since heart of palm naturally contains vitamins that boost immune health. It finally tastes good to eat healthy!

Good enough for almost no calories!
Of course this not the same texture of regular pasta. It’s better than shiritaki noodles though. I boiled it in water for 8 minutes, then cooked with canned fire roasted tomatoes and garlic with a cup of the pasta water until it cooked down. Then added fresh Parmesan and basil. My husband and I both enjoyed it. It was a tad salty but that’s my fault cause I added salt to the cooking water not realizing it already had salt in it. I’m not going to totally give up Carbe Diem but will definitely buy this again. It would be a great item to have to lose a few pounds without feeling like you’re deprived. Will add shrimp and fresh spinach next time.

Awesome for prediabetics / diabetics. Tastes good in Yaki Soba
These are a life saver for people watching their glucose or GA intake. The taste goes well with some recipes e.g. I use them to cook Japanese-style Yaki Soba. I'm prediabetic and use a continuous glucose monitor. Love that eating these is virtually invisible on my glucose monitor chart. They're just a bit pricey.

Not worth trying
Really yuck. I did what it said to make it softer, but it was still crunchy. I even added it to boiling water for 2 minutes. It’s got great nutrition facts that’s why I bought it and a decent price, but it wasn’t worth it.

Low Carb pasta
My wife enjoyed this more than I did. I couldn't get past the taste. We boiled it for 10 min and then cooked in the sauce for 10 minutes. It was still hard. The quality of the pasta was exceptional, but the taste was nothing like pasta. We may try this again and cook longer.

Best low cal low carb enjoyable replacement for pasta
If you like zoodles with zucchini you will love these noodles made from hearts of palm. They come in a can and look exactly like small noodle pasta. You can only tell the difference when you eat them. They have a very pleasant taste and texture like a fresh vegetable. They are reasonably priced very low carb low calorie and cook much easier than pasta.
