Sturdy Product with Nice Extras
My dog bent, pulled out and snapped two other ground stakes purchased of similar cost but lesser quality. I didn’t realize how strong she is for a 55 lb shepherd. When I ordered the Royal-Paw, I was skeptical but it certainly looked sturdier, thicker and has a heavy duty corkscrew stake versus a straight stake as previously purchased. The product came with a well made travel bag, cleaning brush, lever, and carabiner. The attachment ring on the stake itself is thicker than any of those previously purchased, which gives me comfort. However, I will be getting another ring/carabiner to add for strength for when I clip on the tie out. That’s my preference because of past experience and wanting to keep my dog safe. Overall, impressive product with thoughtful add ons at a great price.

Dog is finally secure
I've had other tie-outs for my dogs that all worked satisfactorily. However, I now have a lab-pit mix and he is one solid muscle. His prey drive is off the charts. When he sees a cat, squirrel, any critter in the yard, he goes into full hunt mode and takes off from a stand still. Those corkscrew type tie-outs can't hold him and he always ended up dragging it behind him on his hunt. If the fence gates were open, I'd lose him for sure. Then I found this. The way this is designed with the gradually larger flanges on the screw really bite into a larger portion of ground and adds a lot of resistance when the dog pulls on it. The very first time he ran, the tie-out only yanked towards the direction he pulled, but it held firm. However, since that soil had some sand mixed in, I moved the tie out to very firm soil. The next time he ran, the tie-out moved only slightly during the recoil from the force of the pull. When I checked it, it was still firm and secure in the ground. I feel very confident he won't be able to dislodge it now. Also now that he's tested it a few times, I noticed he doesn't bolt like usual, but runs until it tugs. I bought the black one and now I think I should've gotten the orange colored one so it would be more obvious in the ground and not a tripping hazard. But I could always hit it with some spray paint if that becomes an issue. So far no signs of wearing or rust. This is a solid piece of equipment. They included an attractive, zippered, canvas bag with carrying strap, and a bar for leverage to help screw the tie-out into the ground. Very thoughtful value-added pieces. I'm using a plastic coated metal lead with it that I had purchased separately. I'm very pleased that I went ahead and spent a few extra bucks for a system that keeps my dog safe and contained. Very highly recommend.

Outstanding
I had a Belgium malinios. Adopted her from the shelter. She had aggression issues and since I have experience with dogs and she liked me (she didn’t like most people/I was a volunteer at the shelter) they adopted her out to me in hopes she would get better. I don’t have a yard so this allowed her to be outside in the sunshine where she loved to be. I used this with the Royal Paw cable. It is high quality, definitely chew resistant, and lightweight. It definitely worked well. If I remember correctly it’s manufactured in the U.S., if you value that (I do). The only frustration I had was screwing it into the ground. They give you a bar to screw it in, which 100% helps screwing it in. I live in rocky terrain so it wasn’t all that pleasant. If ever I need another, I will be going through this company again as it is high quality and definitely worth the investment. At one point my landlord even ran over it with His ranch truck and nothing broke or bent. I was pretty impressed by that. Grace (my malinois) was about 22 inches tall, agility was outstanding, and weighed about 60 lbs. She was also insanely strong, yet the screw-in didn’t budge. I bought the black one. It’s been outside for about 6-8 months now (through rain, shine, and snow) and still no rust.

Strong, Quality, Reliable.
Solid product that holds strong even with my 100 pound dog. The packaging is very nice and inlcudes a brush to clean it off before storing. I laughed a little bit about the brush at first but it was actually quite handy to cleanly store the device. I would buy it again.

Great yard stake!
Easy to put in the ground and holds up to my aggressive dog pulling it. Haven't moved it around the yard or anything, so I don't know how easy it is to remove. The carabiner to attach the lead has rusted almost beyond use after a year. Some of the enamel has also come off the ring on the stake and it's started to rust too.

We moved to a house with no fence for our dog. All the tie out stakes that they sell in pet stores seem unreliable at first glance. Our dog is 70lbs of high energy, so we needed something that would accommodate his strength and energy. The product comes in a nice bag with everything you need. Easily to install. It's in the ground now and it isn't going anywhere. We've had this product for a month and a half and it remains sturdy. We bought a 30 cable to attach to it. We are completely satisfied and highly recommend this product.

A great tool for creating a little “doggy-zipline”. We used the two devices when camping. They are quite difficult to screw in when the ground is tough or has stones in it, however even with only 2/3rd of one screwed in there was basically no movement when trying to push them back & forth. I did find them difficult to screw in with stones, not to get past the stones but because without much downward pressure, the “blades” of the device simple just chew up the soil and leave nothing for it to bind/grip into. I found that putting a lot of my body-weight onto it whilst trying to screw them in was the best method but quite difficult to manage. Overall they worked great once set up, but could be quite frustrating if they were removed and reinstalled frequently.

Works great with my 60lbs dog! Easy to install and remove! Great quality, great color! As an FYI, I have a super active dog who LOVES cats! She saw one last time, sprinted after the cat before I could say/do anything! The collar broke, but this stayed in place... as if nothing happens! Let's just say the collar won't get a 5 stars rating, though LOL

Was very excited for this. When I got the package though, there were spots where the paint had come off and it looked like it had been repaired very cheaply. The bag it came in already had holes in it too. Very disappointing when you have paid to dollar for this. I will try the stake and I hope it works well enough to keep.
