I used to wonder why anyone would need an extra monitor: I spent 21 years in accounting and never felt the need for the additional screen, even when I had multiple programs open.Then I switched to teaching, and after adding a second monitor to my home office while teaching online through COVID, I never looked back.The problem is that we share classrooms in my school, and while my own classroom has a second monitor on my desktop, sometimes I need to be in a different location in the room, and some of my classes are taught in a different room — and occasionally the additional room on my schedule does not have a second monitor. And I have to go to my parents’ about once very three or four weeks to take care of things for them, and there is no second monitor there. In such cases, I told myself I could certainly survive, as I had done for so long, pre-COVID.But then I saw the listing for this portable monitor (AND on sale at the time) when I wasn’t even looking for such a thing, and I thought it was surely too good to be true. So I ordered it, fully expecting to be disappointed by the quality and to end up returning it.I could not be more pleased. It is imminently portable — and even fits nicely in the padded middle pocket of my teacher bag, along with my laptop. I keep a small zipper bag for the cords. I set it up quickly and easily at home (it has given me the flexibility to work at the kitchen table (which honestly has better lighting) instead of always at my desk, and it goes anywhere I could benefit from the flexibility of the extra screen. It sets up and dismantles easily, the screen is clear and sharp, the folding cover is sturdy, and I have zero complaints. I enjoy the wider screen (wider than my laptop): it makes spreadsheets and o line gradebook easier to work with, as well as leaving comments on Google doc assignments. This was definitely a fabulous value for the money. (And it has even impressed some of my students.)

For the price, this display is great! It's light, portable, and convenient to use. It isn't the brightest (don't use it outside or maybe even with a bright window directly behind you), but is bright enough for most use cases. Resolution and color is decent (plenty acceptable). The cover/stand works well and makes this extremely portable. I can put it in my backpacks laptop sleave along with my laptop without issue (and I have a fairly large engineering laptop).

For the purpose that I bought it for, it was easy to setup and get moving. It has good clarity and brightness. It is running off a direct USB-C connection with my work laptop, which is very convenient. I am utilizing primarily for office work, so refresh rates are not critical. Might try connecting it to other devices later, but for now, it is doing a good job for what it is for.

This screen is LARGE and fairly HEAVY. I ordered this for my wife to use with her MS Surface Pro. To her, this 'screen is overkill" for that use - and she balked at the weight of it. It would need to be transported in her carry-on luggage and she did not want to carry that additional weight. It looks to be well made and the 15.6" would provide some nice real estate for viewing for most people. Unfortunately, she did not want to carry it - so I returned it.

When I tell you my entire quality of life is better I mean that. I bring my laptop home everyday from work (where I have 2 additional monitors) and working from on screen takes so much more time to get my task done. Having this extra monitor has made a world of difference for me. The monitor is such a great size, the screen quality is great, it has speakers built in, and it was so easy to just plug in and start working. If you are on the fence about getting a portable monitor I 100% recommend you do it. I wish I would have gotten one sooner!

This is a great portable monitor at an outstanding price. It is a touch heavier than other USB portable monitors, but that is because this monitor has built in speakers and HDMI mini input capability.This is an outstanding second monitor for use with a laptop, desktop, or portable gaming system. The USB-C direct power and video works great; just be sure to have the correct cable, which is included with the device.The magnetic smart cover and stand works very well compared to other portable monitor covers. For example, I could never get my ASUS USB monitor cover to work correctly as a stand without the monitor falling over.For gaming enthusiasts, this works great with handheld devices like the switch, and portable emulation devices, including the Anbernic RG28XX using HDMI for video and audio, while powering the monitor through USB-C. The monitor outputs both the video and audio with no problem.Overall, this is a great device for every day use and for business and leisure travel.
