First Scooter? You Won’t Be Disappointed!
My review is a little different because I’m going to compare the $500-ish HiBoy with my expensive $1000+ scooter to show you that expensive DOES NOT always mean “better”! Both scooters are under a year old. The expensive scooter (rhymes with “blue”) has only 2 qualities that I like about it - It’s the lightest scooter on the market, making it very easy to carry around, and it has a big wide deck like a skateboard that’s very comfortable. Other than that, it’s been nothing but a headache. How much of a headache? I’m glad you asked. * HEAVILY dependent on the app (I have an older phone and the app was not compatible. Had to get a Pre-Paid phone just to activate the scooter) * “Customer Service” was AI-generated emails that didn’t understand the context of what I was saying. * Handlebar end caps come loose and fall off. Lost one of them. * Alarm system can only be deactivated with the app * Got a flat, the company states that the tires are “tubeLESS”, repair shop tells me they are NOT. Spent another $150 for wheel replacement. * Brake pads became misaligned after a short time causing a weird noise. * Oh, …and the computer screen just died. AND IT’S NOT EVEN A YEAR OLD!! Now onto my experience with the HiBoy S2 Pro - I was out riding the HiBoy in about 10 minutes (after charging the battery of course). The HiBoy has a nice app, but it’s NOT NECESSARY for you to get up and running. The Acceleration/Deceleration is very smooth. Engages the cruise control very easily. The ride is SMOOTHER than the expensive scooter because of the shocks. Yes you will feel the bumps if you are riding over something like cobblestone or uneven brick-paved roads, but you will never get a flat and the shocks do a great job. The deck lights are not just decorative and cool looking, they really do make you more visible at night. Overall it’s just a great no nonsense no BS scooter with a pleasurable ride experience. I really love it! The S2 Pro is so popular in my town that I had to put a sticker on it so I know which one is mine when I lock it up to go into a store! If any problems occur within this first year of owning it, I will come back and edit this review. But as of now I am LOVING IT, and I feel confident in saying, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

A great product. Incredible support. Extremely responsive and knowledgeable.
We bought our first scooter for our son as a Christmas present last year. I wasn't familiar with the scooters or the brand and was shocked that my wife would buy our son a gift like this without discussing it first with me. I fully expected that there would be issues with assembly and with the scooter even working. Boy was I wrong. I had estimated a minimum of an hour for assembly. It took me maybe 5-7 min. My son was so excited on Christmas morning but I was then worried about how long it would last before we had problems. Almost 1 year later my son came to me telling me that the scooter had an error code and wouldn't work. I fully expected that the scooter had run its course and would become a boat anchor. I reached out to support and surprisingly got an almost immediate response. Support was able to identify my issue and send me a replacement AND it was still under warranty. They additionally sent me video instructions on how to replace the handlebar which is where the issue was. The replacement was easy to do following the video instructions but after replacing the handlebar, the scooter still didn't work. I followed up with support again and immediately got a response with what the issue was. I did have to replace the battery and was again able to easily install the new battery using the video instructions that were sent to me. The scooter is now working perfectly again!! My son and several (ten or more) of his friends all have these scooters and ride around the neighborhood like hells angels. They are extremely durable and the kids love them! It's given him/them so much freedom and independence. and has been a huge help for us so we don't have to drive them everywhere. The scooters are very dependable also and have lights and even a bell for safety. I'm not usually one to write reviews but these guys have been great and so I felt compelled to do so. Just make sure your kiddos wear helmets. They are fast and can be dangerous if they aren't being safe. Having said that, we also just bought one for our 11-year-old daughter who was always wanting to take her brothers.

Power, Performance, and Pure Fun — Hiboy X300 Delivers!
Yo, Amazon peeps! As a long - time Amazon shopper, I gotta say the Hiboy X300 adult electric scooter is a game - changer. I'm stoked to give it a solid five stars. First off, the motor is a beast. It accelerates smooth as butter, whether I'm taking off or zipping along. Hills? No problem. It powers through like it's nothing. I've never had a moment of doubt about its performance. The battery life is sick. I can ride for ages on one charge. I use it for my daily commute, and I don't have to stress about running out of juice. It's a lifesaver for those who rely on their scooters to get around. The turn signals are a smart touch. In traffic, safety is key, and these bright signals make sure I'm seen. It's a simple feature that makes a huge difference. And the wide footboard? It's amazing. I've got plenty of room for my feet, even in big shoes. It gives me great balance, so I feel super stable when I'm riding fast or making turns. All in all, the Hiboy X300 is a top - tier scooter. If you're looking for an adult electric scooter, don't hesitate. Get this one! Five stars, hands down.

Strong Reliable Scooter
The Hiboy S2 Pro Electric Scooter, 500W Motor, 10" Solid Tires, 25 Miles Range, 19 Mph Folding Commuter. This review is after a few days using the scooter. I paid for it with my own coin. First it was late in delivery. Amazon is delivering later and later on my orders. As a prime member I not given much explanation on the status of a late delivery. It's a "mystery". You can't go by the online website delivery status. By 10 pm is a wide window. That is also code for maybe today or tomorrow. The shipping box is huge. It also has the name of the scooter all over the outside. Yeah everyone on your street knows what you got delivered. Lesson number one at the "porch pirate" academy. The scooter rides hard, and that is due to the "hard rubber tubeless tires". They take all bumps hard. You have to relearn how to scoot. Depending on your speed, adjust on the time to brake, when hitting bumps. The brakes are good, a bit sensitive, but they will stop you. Lean back on the scooter if you need to stop suddenly, that will avoid you being thrown forward into the handlebars. I have yet to speed up to its maximum speed of 19. I have only gone up to 13 MPH. I generally only ride on smooth surfaces. The dirt or the unpaved paths are too shaky, bumpy, and will rattle your spine. The folding of the unit is good. However, be sure to lock the steering column tight once you do open it. It is heavier than expected (about 43 lbs). It fits in most vehicle cargo spaces. The battery life is good so far. I can foresee future battery issues. There is no way to replace the original battery. Its does take up to 4-5 hours to fully charge. PROS: Sturdy, reliable, smooth on surfaces. There is an app that I have not tried. The app can lock the scooter. Night driving lights are good, and easy to turn on. Good and simple onboard display. CONS: the red and black wires are visible on the bottom of the steering column, why? Susceptible to vandalism once parked in a public area. There is no manual scooter lock. You need to have your own. I wish there were a onboard total mileage count. I like tech but all Apps are secret ways to track consumers. Be safe, enjoy your Hiboy S2 Pro Scooter. AF~

Just buy it. This is quality.
Don't let the hyped up features about all of the various scooters confuse you. This scooter is what you need regardless of whether you wish to cruise around your gated community, or it's your source of transportation. I live in a college town and ditched my car for a scooter - saves me gas, parking, and if the weather is inclement it's easy to catch a ride share. The solid 10 inch wheels in combination with the shock absorbers make for a decent ride around the city, where there is uneven sidewalk blocks, and speed bumps. The computer is responsive. There's a safety control on the left handlebar in addition to the right handlebar mounted brake lever, if you must stop in an emergency situation (not all scooters have safety switches). I like the charging port up near the handlebars (easy to plug in). I like the light weight, because I have to carry the scooter up and down a few stairs. The Bluetooth took me a moment to figure out (allow it patience); if you're tech savvy, you won't have any issues connecting to the Bluetooth. **You are not required to use your phone, or have your phone with you to operate the scooter** I like to disconnect by leaving my phone at home sometimes. like that you can lock the scooter through the app, however, nothing beats a quality lock. I use the kryptonite lock from my bike to lock up the scooter. There's enough spacing between the computer and left handlebar grip that I can dangle the lock as you can see (I put the little bit of black foam padding that was in the shipping box on the kryptonite lock so it does not rattle), then I used a Velcro strap I had laying around from a bike pump to secure the kryptonite lock to the stem. I normally have a grocery store reusable bag rolled up and attached to the stem of a scooter; people won't steal a reusable grocery bag because they're cheap or free, and they hold anything from groceries to thrift shop finds. The maximum speed of 19mph is perfect for the bike lanes and when you must ride on the street in a 25mph zone. On the sidewalks the lower speed is perfect where there is a lot of pedestrian and scooter traffic. The lighting definitely helps to make you more visible to cars. I'm 6'2" and 148 pounds; the scooter is perfect for short and tall riders. The acceleration is balanced to the weight of the scooter in my opinion, and the scooter is a lot of fun. This scooter looks to be reliable and low maintenance.

what exactly did I receive?
tldr; the sticker doesn't have the manufacturing date, the wheels are smaller than advertised and range is shorter. So I don't know if this was a refurbished unit or even a S2 Pro at all. I'm writing this to prevent people from falling/serious injuries. Delivery: I received the package almost fine but it looks like someone tried to take a peak inside of the box. weird but okay, I guess. Assembly: There wasn't much steps to assemble as in every scooter but there were 2 problems. I had to tuck the flimsy looking connection cable in a tight space inside the stem. I actually sent an email to their support if I'm doing it right, more on this later. Second problem is bigger and it affects the whole riding experience. Screw holes in the stem and the handle don't align perfectly. That would cause screws to be underdriven or driven crooked, which would lead handle to shake/move on the ride, stressing your wrists, not to mention that it's dangerous. Use: I charged it to full before my first and only ride. The ride was as expected except 1 thing. The drain felt too fast and I almost completely emptied it in 45mins-1hr. There aren't really even any elevation change where I live and I weigh 175 so there wasn't too much load on the motor, afaik. Besides that it was bumpy as expected and handle shake was real, but I didn't investigate it further. Realization: So, when I got home puzzled by my rather short ride, I started checking this scooter if I forgot anything, or anything got stuck. Then I saw the sticker w/o any manufacturing date. That was sus, as pre 2022 manufactured models have a notorious problem of breaking in half at the downtube - deck connection spot. And I imagine it'd be from serious to fatal consequences if that happens when you're going fast. They supposedly corrected this issue on newer models by using a thicker/stronger tube, but who knows... Then I remembered some people complaining about wheel size and checking it, they came a bit smaller around 8" - 8" rather than the advertised 10". This might have also contributed to the bumpy ride. I stopped at this point and started the return process. Return: It was a breeze with Amazon handling everything for me. And that was smoothest part of this all. Support: Remember I asked their US SUPPORT about what to do about it? Their working hours are "UTC +8:00 zone 9:00 - 17:30 from Monday to Friday" . So I waited (yes, I don't rush these stuff) and after two days, they sent me a link containing 2x 3mins handlebar assembly videos of another model which doesn't even show what I'm asking (I sent them the first photo attached here). So it was an interesting experience to say the least Summary: I knew some of the problems this model have but their attractive price and promises of solutions had me buying it. I really don't like to write reviews let alone negative ones but my lost time, my frustration and the dangers this pose drove me to get the word out.

Excellent Scooter and World Class Customer Service!
The Fallen review really is broken into two aspects or two parts. Firstly, this has to have been some of the absolute best customer service that I received from any vendor or company out there in years! And I am not exaggerating. It is so refreshing when a company not only resolves an issue to your satisfaction, but actually forsees a problem and goes into action to solve that problem off before it really even takes root! In this case I fired off an email, not angrily, but very matter-of-fact, inquiring as to why the S2 Pro was being sold on the Highboy corporate site for the exact same money, but including the seat and seatpost that they are now trying to charge $59 more for on Amazon. I was simply 💯 confident that that was the case! Well, it turns out that I was woefully mistaken. I know, I know; it is in unfathomably hard to believe, but we are mistaken sometimes guys, we really are!! Well, the professionals at Highboy explained the error very thoroughly and very professionally and very politely. And, before I had even taken receipt of my wife's brand new S2 Pro, they shipped out an extremely nice scooter bag free of charge! Over a $50 value! And they did all of this because I had a completely unsubstantiated gripe that I voiced flipently, without even taking the time to slow down and investigate the issue whatsoever! We do that many more times than we should do we not? ALL OF US.... Anyway, this was truly remarkable customer service plain and simple. You can't get most customer service departments to give you with a straight answer, much less give you something actually valuable when you were the one in the wrong!! So for that, I give them 10 Stars! We sure could use a lot more corporate with this sort of corporate culture out there that's for sure! Secondly, the scooter itself. I had read some decent reviews and had just driven quite a few of my friends scooters. Since this one was on sale and not knowing anything about hi boy, I really wasn't expecting much nothing spectacular nor anything so far. We'll let me tell you, what I received is excellent and unexpected quality! This scooter is robust, solidly built and after just a few outings it is readily apparent that this machine will last for several years to come. Also we were very impressed with how intuitive the app is. I love the fact that the onboard controls are very simplistic and solid. Not a lot of buttons or patterns of button clicks to get you into different modes to get you confused and to cause you to wreck. Most of everything Beyond turning the lights on and off oh, the cruise control on and off, ET cie is handled through the app and not through the dashboard. This allows you to focus on what's important, the ground whizzing by 20 miles an hour as you stand on a 4-5 inch wide platform on two wheels LOL... again, I've not ever owned an electric scooter, but on several electric skateboards and have run the gamut on those. I have owned everything from falls apart second timeout, two excellent quality and I would definitely put the S to Pro towards the latter end of the spectrum. If you're looking for a good solid entry-level or even a machine for an experienced rider, you can't go wrong with this machine and you cannot go wrong with the level of service received from High Point!
