Works great with a magnetic switch
Solid build and works great, I use it with a magnetic switch, which I also got from amazon, to control a shed light. The instructions that came with it were incomplete, it seemed to be an add-on sheet for one specific use case instead of the full manual. I found the full manual as a PDF on Amprobe's website, but it was of very poor quality and extremely dated. It must have been written in the 60s or 70s (I'm not kidding, here's a quote: "Take 10 for your cigarette break... You've got the problem just about licked now"). I think they should seriously overhaul and expand that.Their (Amprobe's) technical support is top notch. I called them because I had a question about the installation, and they answered it to my full satisfaction after a bit of research.I measured that this switch consumes about 1W continuously, over a year that's about a dollar where I live.

Easy, fully NEC code complaint way to install automatic (princess) lights in closets
Easy, fully NEC code complaint way to install automatic (princess) lights in closets, when paired with a mechanical door switch (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07486RHH7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 or https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005GDG4II/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I used in our laundry room, coat closet, attic access door... All working well for 6+ months. The power rating is a little much for a standard LED 100W replacement light that only draws 0.25A, and therefore its a little pricy for that application, but it should never be taxed and hopefully should last for decades.

Great product
I used this Relay to automatically switch on a closet light when the closet door is opened.Hooked it up to two different magnetic door switches on same closet, works great, easy to install and Very well built.Would have gave it 5 stars, just annoyed that a week after receiving it, the price dropped by 25%; I find amazon is great at this up and down pricing, including while you are actually in the process of shopping; found this out at Christmas time. Product prices went up and sometimes down while in my basket, removed item from basket price would drop again within an hour, this went on and on with the same item; I felt like I was on an auction bidding site???? Once again the RELAY itself deserves 5 stars.

GREAT
Got this for a magnetic closet door switch. Works great and the price was awesome at $30. If you're doing a closet switch make sure you buy a normally closed contact. Normally open the light is on when the door is closed.

Not a particularly reliable design.
These are juuust a weee bit to big on one side to fit home depot metal electrical boxes, you will need a file, maybe. Biggest problem occurs after installation. Switching an inductive load on the same circuit, such as a ceiling fan, will cause the light controlled by this thing to momentarily flicker. A little disturbing seeing the closet light momentarily flicker on when the ceiling fan is switched on. They sent me a 3 wire and a 2 wire instead of the pair of 2 wire units I ordered, and both have the same problem. This problem is apparently common to both 2 and 3 wire styles. I am going to try a capacitor across the low voltage leads and perhaps a couple of other things before removing these and just using a relay. Everything is well grounded, and these are grounded to their metal boxes. Just a poor design.
