Inspirelle 3x1mm Black Soutache Braid Cord Trim for Jewelry Making, 30yds Spool

I used this to form the leash on a poodle skirt. My design had three loops. I simply pinned the trim in place and removed the pins as I sewed. To my surprise, I was able to sew a nice, smooth line. There is enough left for many more projects like this.

This soutache cord has a softer texture than more expensive brands but for the money (many yards of cording for a low price) it is a very good value and gets the job done. I am using it to create a ‘vine’ on the surface of a quilting project.

I bought this soutache cord to make a rosary, however the cord was harder than what I expected. I’ve worked with some other soutache cord and the material is very soft. However the softer ones are more expensive. So, I would say, you get what you pay for with this cord.
