Slightly longer than the stock supports, and you really have to open the trunk as far as it can possibly go to make them fit. However, they do work perfectly. Super happy buying these and not having my trunk slam on me.

These work great. We picked up an ottoman/bench from Big Lots and the original part was far too high pressured to close, it actually was breaking the hinges on the b much when it was closing. I noticed right away an ordered these lower pressured supports and they work great. Went from just one, on one-side to, one on each side maintaining the same level of force but balanced on two hinges instead of one The seller got these out to us quickly.

These look like good struts, very tough. However these were much smaller in size than what I needed or thought they were. I needed struts for an older husky truck tool box lid. Extremely hard to find these struts are. These were not even close to what I needed. Amazon refunded and was happy with the outcome.

My Fiat 124 trunk lid struts were getting kind of soft (and not holding lid up if there was a breeze blowing) and so I got these as a much cheaper replacement to OEM. Considered briefly one of many used struts on eBay, but used struts could just as likely be softer than new ones. The extended length of the 35 lb struts are about ½" greater than the OEM, but still fit (and raise lid a bit higher). The compressed length is also a bit longer but they still fit (If too long then you won't be able to close lid). I couldn't find the specs on my OEM struts, but the struts for the very similar Mazda Miata are 27 lbs. The ones I replaced measured about 25 lbs, so I suspect 30 lbs is close to new OEM for the Fiat. Replacement is quite easy and all you need is a small flat screwdriver to release the clip when removing the old one. The new strut snaps on easily over the standard 10mm ball stud mount. Once I had both 35 lb struts in place, the lid stayed up well and was quite easy to close. It didn't pop up by itself (didn't want that), but if you gave a bit of a nudge without holding on to the nylon pull strap I had previously installed on the underside of the lid, it would bounce up a bit too vigorously for my liking. So, I ended up using one new strut and keeping one old strut and it works great. If I had to do again, I would've bought slightly lower capacity struts for this particular application. But overall, a good value.

Worked perfect to replace the stock original 180N Gas shock and was easy to replace. Works like the day I took delivery, the trunk holds and won't drop uncontrolled. The 45Lb Gas Strut is 200 Newtons it's impossible to tell the difference between 180N and 200N in this application. Go for it! Save hundreds of dollars don't buy it from dealer. The 10 inch 45 Lb/200N Gas Shocks Struts Lift works like the original parts for my 2016 Fiat 124 Spider #8 BLUE LUSSO trunk lift. Item came with brackets but are not needed on the 2016 Fiat 124 Spider trunk's original hinge studs.

The units themselves function okay but the chrome rods have already started to rust and we aren’t even close to winter conditions yet so who knows what they’re going to look like after a year or more
