Fantastic machine! Found coins, rings, even picked up an old coffee can buried 16" deep! Would put this up against detectors costing hundreds more, any day. Love the fact it can run forever on a single battery, too. Easy to use, from 'turn on and go' to using the discrimination and notching, it also has the pinpoint feature. Very lightweight, can use it all day and not get tired. Best detector I've ever had!

This works exactly like it says, great product for the price. This is the first metal detector I have ever bought and it is definitely user friendly. The built in pin pointer is a huge plus! I found so much stuff my first time out playing around with this... Definitely has become a hobby over the last few weeks.

Preliminary review: Just put this together, read the instruction booklet, then began a fruitless search for a lost horse shoe in a weedy one-acre paddock. Seems to be detecting various metals as described in the owners manual. I must have something set incredibly wrong, though, because this thing was eating fresh (confirmed with a voltmeter) 9-volt alkaline batteries like they were M&Ms. Every battery went from a full-charge display icon to empty icon in less than five minutes. I may have spent more time changing batteries than actually searching for the lost horse shoe. Tomorrow I'm going to have to make a run to one of the local big box warehouses to purchase a case of 9V batteries. I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong. ACK!

I have been going out several years with this metal detector. It works pretty good at finding things.. I dig up everything not just when it dings for precious metals. The padding seems to have gotten a little brittle, but other than that it still works perfectly. Fairly easy to use and it feels pretty light in the hand. It has very good battery life and easy to read,

Bought this for my wife for Christmas after she showed interest in getting back into metal detecting. We also have a Whites spectrum xlt but it is heavy compared to this unit. I think my wife really enjoys using the light detector and will want to go more often. First time out she dug everything which is great for learning. Found some coins and some junk. She really enjoyed herself. Very nice machine.

I recieved this a few days ago and set it up. Just now me an my daughter (2.5yrs old) went out and scanned the lawn, found numerous can pieces , piece of a diecast car a quarter and a penny in about 20 min. Its easy to tell if you want to dig with the pin point function. I'm super happy with this. I've owned the BH discovery before and figured that this would be a good upgrade. It super sensitive and the pinpoint function is priceless. Locate, pinpoint, dig, and hand pin point. its that easy. Note to self ....any finds with the daughter then legally become her property......lol

This has a well documented highly rated record of precision and accuracy. I do not doubt it. For my particular body issues it was never comfortable so I never tried to turn it on. This is a company well known and puts out great quality items. This one just didn't fit me. Not Manufacture's fault
