CODACE Fingerprint Rechargeable Cabinet Lock, Black, Biometric

I saw a few comments saying this item was bad but I do not agree with them so I am writing a positive review. The user manual that came with the item did not make a lot of sense but I was able to figure out how to use it. The item works great and its amazing for the price! I recommend this item to anyone looking to buy one of these finger print scanners. I am yet to install it but working with it out of the box, I would say its very good.

It does work ( Day1). The instructions are as noted the worst - both for installing and programming. The video helps but you have to figure out the installation placement on your own. I'm sure only one of my fingers was recorded as an admin, but as long it opens I'm not overly concerned about admin vs common user.In terms of security - this will keep nosey people out of places but don't expect it to stop someone serious about getting at what's locked inside.One thing I do like is the little spring mounted prong - it holds the door open just enough so I can leave the cabinet open during the day and push it that last 1/4 inch to lock it for when I leave the office.You may find this is a fault as you do have to consciously push the door closed to engage the lock.I hoping it works for at least two years

Remembers my fingerprint very well . Almost no mistakes reading my finger print .I have an expensive Bulldog Bio-metric fingerprint lock on a Gun safe and this works better - more reliable.Battery stays charged for weeks on end with multiple uses. Charges quick when needed. I would recommend this to anybody. Will buy another. Thanks great product.

Let me start off by saying the installation manual they give you in the box is practically useless, it doesn't tell you how to install anything at all. Another bad thing was the fingerprint sensor, it's gotta be EXACTLY at the same position that the finger was originally in when making the fingerprints. So if it's off by the littlest amount, it won't work and will beep red. You do get used to it overtime and learn to do it correctly tho. Other than the installation manual and the fingerprint issues. It does work as intended.

We've had this cabinet lock for about 10 months now and it's a great security device. Despite the complaints here about the instructions, it was fairly easy to install and program. Only now, after 10 months, did it start blinking for a recharge, even after frequent daily use during that time. Highly recommended!

NOT SURE ABOUT ANYONE ELSE, BUT THIS IS MY SECOND NOT SO GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH AN AMAZON PURCHASE. THE ITEM DOES NOT WORK AS INDICATED, ESPECIALLY WITH FINGERPRINT ENTRY, CLEARING, OR STARTING OVER. IN FACT, , THE ACTUAL WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS AREN'T WORKING AS STATED. EXAMPLE: WHEN USING THE DECODER TO RESET YOUR TOLD TO PRESS ANY FINGER UNTIL ALL LIGHTS FLASH CONTINUOUSLY, THEN REMOVE FINGER. THEN USE FUNGER AGAIN TO UNLOCK AND ALL FINGERPRINTS WILL BE DELETED. DOESN'T HAPPEN. IF YOU DO REMOVE FINGER WHEN TOLD TO, NOTHING HAPPENS. YOU ACTUALLY DON'T REMOVE FINGER AND THE FLASHING WILL END ON GREEN AND LOCK WILL OPEN WITHOUT TAKING FINGER OFF. AND IT DOESN'T DELETE . TAKE DECODER OUT AND YOU CAN STILL OPEN WITH ANY FINGER., IT OPENS WITH ANY FINGER, KNUCKLE, CHIN, TONGUE, ELBOW, ANY PARFT OF THE BODY TOUCHING IT. SO MUCH FOR "FINGERPRINTS." I'VE BOUGHT FIVE OF THESE, (3 ELSEWHERE), AND NONE WORK THE WAY THEY ARE REPRESENTED. WHEN ANY PART OF THE BODY CAN BE USED TO OPEN IT'S DEFINITELY NOT A "FINGERPRINT" LOCK.

I installed this on a cabinet drawer containing sensitive material. Instead of making copies of keys, I simply programmed in the fingerprints of those authorized to open it. Don't have to worry about changing locks, just remove the fingerprint from the unit. Works great.

The media could not be loaded. Firstly, this thing is really cool. We needed a way to store a firearm close to our bed but also prevent the kids from having access. This product did the trick for a fraction of what a biometric gun safe would have costed. The down side is that installation is a BEAR. The instructions are so basic and give no insight on how to line up the lock components. It took me a long time (and a lot of holes) to get it lined up perfectly. If I installed another one, I’d use something like Velcro to help line up the pieces before screwing the pieces in place. Overall, I’m really impressed with this product but it definitely needs better installation instructions.
