Tokyo Mew Mew Omnibus 2

The series itself is great, and this particular translation is pretty good compared to its predecessor. Now, I really hope for others’ sake that the volume I received is just a defective printing and that they are not all like this. The copy I received had noticeable damage to the cover, and then upon further inspection, I noticed the entire book itself is lopsided (and I mean it was both printed lopsided and cut lopsided), which cuts off some of the art inside. I took pictures of it next to a regular manga to show the difference (but for some reason Amazon won’t let me include them). Amazon did give me a 20% refund, and were we not in a lockdown right now, I would have returned it in exchange for a different copy. I’ll probably end up replacing this copy once we’re able to leave the house again and I can go to an actual book store and inspect the copy for myself (I’m picky about having nice looking manga).

Daughter loved it

Bought the series for my 10yo daughter, who loved Sailor Moon and wanted more of the same. If that's what you're into, these are great for you! She plowed through them. They're cute, not particularly original (pretty much the same/similar story, feel, and specific content [the same old transformations, fight scenes, little romances, cheesy phrases when encountering an enemy, and attacks] as most of these tween/teen manga series), and a good match for this age. Like Sailor Moon and CardCaptor Sakura, they do have some content that may be a bit out there based on our societal norms around romantic relationships and require a little explanation or discussion with your kids (think age of romances and differences in age, etc.). Overall, a fun choice for this age group.

It is a cute manga. I was really happy with this book because I used to watch the show on TV when I was younger. It was great that I could get this manga in omnibus format with 3 volumes in one. Overall, I am very pleased with this book! :-)

I was very excited to get these books. I own the first 2 volumes of Tokyo Mew Mew and all the volumes of Tokyo Mew Mew a la mode from the Tokyo Pop release. I was pretty excited to finally finish my set and the quality is definitely better than Tokyo Pops. One thing that really bothers me though is that in places the grammar is really poor and the sentence flow isn’t great. Also and this is really upsets me is the spelled Zakuro’s name wrong. I’m not sure where they got the spelling Zacro for Zakuro’s name, but it’s fairly irritating. I hope that they don’t do this whit their other comics.

This manga mean a lot to me. I loved when I was a child and I am having a great time reading it again.
