The lamp is large, heavy and of really good quality Each arm is about 30cm long and another 4-5 cms are getting added by the base, hinges etc. With one arm vertical and second at 45 degrees, the lamp shade sits 50-55cms above the table top, which gives adequate and uniform lighting to a 4ft x 2ft work table. This height is sufficient for the lamp shade to not be in the way. The lamp shade is large sized and with a 10W LED bulb itself, produces a very bright work area on the table. The base is heavy cast iron, and the arms, springs etc also appear to be of good quality. So giving 5 stars now. What remains to be seen is whether it rusts over time.

It is a nice lamp overall, the only thing which I found not okay was the base of the lamp, base of the lamp has an Iron base plate with a nice base cover. Iron base i received seemed rusted, though it is painted black. So you can feel the rust particles coming off once you touch the iron base plate. I feel this can be polished properly.

First impression while opening the package.... The seller is someone who is atleast 70yrs of age.The reason being the care and dedication in packaging reflects the hard working class of India during 1960 to 80s.Some one spent good 30 to 45 mins to just pack the item, to ensure it reaches me in the best of its shape and quality.Thank you for that.There was a small assembly issue, the socket cap was attached incorrectly.Took me 5 mins to rectify it.Brings back hostel memories when we would virtually pull every bit apart and then put it back when ever needed.Sturdy design.Good build quality.Thank you for keeping up with good quality standards in the time of cheap products being offered in the market.

It’s just so worthy of every penny spent. Looks amazing. Works perfect and superb in terms of options to adjust as per need on the table. Only one concern about the cable used though. It could be thicker. Keeping with size of the lamp. I just hope it’s durable. But all in all, if cable won’t be an issue then it’s wow!!!

I find it a bit on the expensive side. It is way more sturdy and strong than I imagined. Also the quality of wire and switch could be improved. Go for it if you want a antique looking aesthetic lamp, you won't find anything better than this in this price range.

This is a lamp with not many fancy features but still it is one of the best lamps. Pros:- 1) metal body with good quality bulb holder and switch. 2) glossy finish 3) bendable enough to meet your requirement. 4) classic look 5) heavy 6) absolutely ready to be your study partner for your entire life. Cons:- 1) Wire is of a low quality. But anyways, it can be replaced. 2) The base plate is thin, so you may feel that it is bent. 3)The length of wire is less(depends totally on your workspace).

PROS: 1. Strong 2. Quality interms of money paid 3. Weight of base 4. Huge dome 5. Wires passing through arms 6. Colour and design CONS: 1. Quality of wire and plug: the first use itself started with flickering of light, had to cut some part of wire and replace plug, it works fine now. 2. Iron base is covered with thin painted sheet over a heavy weighed cast iron but some portion of such heavy iron is not completely covered till edges. 3. The bottom of the base is weakest and cheapest area of entire lamp, they could have covered it nealty so, that it can be rust proof. But compared any other lamp out there it was the best.

No complaints except maybe price could be 200/- less. It would make a huge difference. Otherwise great lamp..started using right away. Go for it.
