Tracks the whole area!
Relatively, I am so pleased with this product (523-WS-Y), considering the amount I had to spend vs. it's functionality! The reason I bought this product was because I wanted to track my daughter's puppy around the house and keep an eye on her wherever she is, especially during her very young age as she tends to chew on stuff a lot. I have a couple of older fixed cams that still perform very well, but had to install several of them just so I could cover one large room, having line-of-sight obstacles in some areas. Because of its flexibility in tracking our puppy, this product allowed me to remove 2 older cams, so now I could use them somewhere else around the house.Images projected (even the night vision images) to my iPhone are great and I love how the PTZ could be calibrated and speed adjusted. With a strong Wifi signal, I only get about less than a second lag when panning. There were a couple of kinks though that came within my first 15 min of use: 1. I tested the siren which gave off a decent sound, enough to be able to alert me anywhere in the house. However, on my second try, the siren gave up after 2 seconds, and hasn't worked since. 2. Simultaneous with losing the siren, the audio speakers also are gone. I suspect the siren and the two-way audio system use the same speakers. Now I can't communicate with our puppy from this camera, which was a feature I needed to have. So I just use my other cams' audio instead. And 3. The auto-night vision feature doesn't work quite well. Although the image is clear even in night vision mode, when there is enough light (like during day time), the cam remains on night vision (black and white), instead of going back to standard (colored) image. So now I turn on auto-night vision at night and turn it off during the day. Very minor kinks that I can live by, however, it bespeaks about the quality of the product.Overall, I am enjoying it and having fun! let's see how long it will last. Hopefully over a year or two.

Easy Set Up, PT Controls Are Laggy, Camera Not as Pictured
I bought this camera to add to an existing Hiseeu NVR system with 4 other WiFi cameras.Install was surprisingly simple; just navigate to the add camera screen on your NVR and power up the new camera. The system will detect the camera and ask you to pair it with the NVR. All done in under 5 minutes. The picture quality is "ok", definitely not as sharp as the cameras that came with the NVR system and are operating outdoors. I bought this add-on P/T camera to keep an eye on my dog when I'm not home and it's my only indoor camera linked to the system. The pan and tilt controls when used via the god-awful EsseeCloud software lag behind user input significantly. So much so that you'll think the camera isn't responding and constantly over-correct trying to get the thing pointed where you want to see. Not at all surprising given the software is easily the worst part about the Hiseeu system overall. Also worth noting here is the camera you see pictured on the Amazon listing is NOT the one you receive when you order this item. The one delivered looks very different, with the ball the lens seats in much lower in the overall assembly (looks kind of like Eve from Wall-E?). If you plan to put this on a shelf and just have it sitting in its base, take note, it cannot look down very well. In my case, I wanted it up where my dog couldn't reach it but still wanted to be able to tilt the lens down to view below, and its very limited in that way. I suppose mounting it upside down (like a dome camera) could rectify that issue, but I want to be able to move the camera without hassle in the future.Despite its shortcomings, it's still a solid 3-stars. You cant expect a NASA-grade camera with remote control for under $40. Not bad.

Love this camera
I tried other brands meant specifically for watching pets and they were horrible quality. I love this one because not only is the picture more clear but it also rotates. I use this for my foster cat room and in multiple rooms of my house when going away.

Horrible setup experience but now it works
The setup procedure for this camera is abysmal. There are many steps to follow and many pitfalls along the way. I sent the first camera back thinking there was something wrong with it. I could see it connect to my Wi-Fi but then it would announce, "Network configuration failed, please check the WiFi password and reconfigure." After multiple attempts I returned it. But the replacement camera behaved the same way. Ultimately I got it working by unplugging the power cable just before it announced that it was unable to connect. I reconnected power and now it works great! Apparently the camera has a software bug that may affect network setup. Decent picture quality. Good night vision. Pan and tilt but no zoom. Down tilt is very limited. If you place it up on a shelf, you will need to shim it to angle it down far enough. Overall, I guess you get what you pay for it.
