The media could not be loaded. I had to replant a bunch of my cacti and I’ve been using this product. The size of the bags is a great value for the money. The texture of the soil is fine and is slightly moist, but not too much. Water goes through the soil as expected, but that’s really more on the user. If you pack it too tight it won’t drain right.The quality really is excellent and my plants really love the nutritional benefits. They have really perked up.In fact I got so much soil for such a low price that now I can go buy even more cacti plants!

These bags were smaller than I expected, but very good quality soil that I've mixed with perlite for my succulents and Jade plants. The smell was fresh and water drains through it very well. It was clean without any mold or bugs and my plants are thriving in it. I will order again as needed

I will say that from now on I'll always purchase the double pack. Two medium to large pots and one bag is gone. It is a bit more expensive than I like but if you're like me and you don't purchase new plants every year it's definitely worth the extra $10 or so. I also layer this with a more expensive gritty mix to help with drying and drainage. I've had only good luck with this brand. I first tried a cheaper also decently rated succulent soil with horrible results (mushrooms growing!!) and spent the extra bucks on this one and both times and three bags over two years have been positive experiences. And again the bags do go quickly so purchase accordingly based on pot size

This is my favorite soil that I keep coming back to. I've tried others but I always have the best luck with this one with ALL my houseplants, not just cactus/succulents. When I've tried other soils they stayed wet too long and I would get issues. This one allows me to water about every 2 weeks and my plants stay happy. Occasionally I'll water every week but I'm ADHD so I rarely make the every week LOL

This product is great if you add course sand to it. Otherwise it is basically seed starter mix with a little perlite added.

I’m an avid plant person and love this soil. It drains well and all my plants thrive in it… it’s almost as good as making your own!

I am an avid gardener, live in a warm climate, and have a spectacular succulent garden, with plants both in the ground and also in containers. I purchased this soil to transplant one of my cactuses that needed a bigger pot. This soil is so obviously well combined with the necessary nutrients and soil amendments that are required for succulents. The soil is lightweight, drains well and this will now be my "go to" soil for my potted succulents. This soil is fabulous, and the instructions on the bag are right on.
