O11 Dynamic XL ROG Certified (White) ATX Full Tower Gaming Computer Case (O11D XL-W)

Shadow wings 120mm white fan (rear) Thermaltake Toughpower 750W Modular Gold rated PSU WD Black 500GB NVME M.2 SSD Seagate Firecuda 2TB SSHD Pccooler GI-D66A Recently, I decided it was time to upgrade my PC. Initially, I went with the Fractal Meshify-C White case. It was a good case, but it had some drawbacks that made me realize that since I'm building a quality gaming PC, why settle? Several things made me decide to shop for a better case: The space behind the motherboard wasn't enough for all the cables and controller for the fans, and I was tired of having to physically mash the left panel down to get it to close. The front PCB was built into the front panel, so any time I wanted to open it up, I had to be careful not to put too much stress on the connecting cables going to the motherboard; and finally, in order to have 3 intake fans on the front of that case, you had to remove the panel on the shroud, which left an ugly, gaping hole exposing all the cables that you want to hide. Initially, I modified the panel and used my angle grinder to make a cut out to allow room for the 3rd fan, but the cut was very uneven and I had to use some car weather stripping I had laying around to hide the jagged edges. So I began to shop for a better option. Enter the Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL. I'd never bought a case this expensive before, so I read and watched every review of it I could find. I was tired of the compromises that companies made in the $75-$100 price range, and the O11 XL seemed to be what I was looking for, so I pulled the trigger. Package arrived on time, no visible damage. The case itself was in perfect shape, no dents or scratches on the glass panels. First impression: This case is freakin' SWEET! Finally, I have a case that checks all the boxes for me, and looks amazing! I love the glass front and side and the brushed aluminum finish on the front. Everything about this case has a very high quality feel to it. All the panels fit together perfectly, no annoying gaps. The LED strip looks great, too, very bright and colorful with smooth transitions on the RGB patterns. I like that it has the M/C buttons on the front to change modes and colors. Switching to the 8th mode (LEDs will be off) syncs it to my MB via Gigabyte's RGB Fusion software. This case is large, which I love. There's so much room to work with, and I have plenty of options for future upgrades and additions. I really like the hot swap bays. I took one out for cable management and used the other one for my 2 TB SSHD. This case has TONS of options. There's so many mount points for drives and SSDs, it's ridiculous. I'm running an air cooled build, and this case is great for that. Some reviewers recommend the original O11 Dynamic for air cooled builds, but the clearance for tower CPU coolers is a bit low on that one. I had originally ordered that one and then I checked the clearance specs from Lian Li's website and realized that my Pccooler GI-D66A was too big. The XL is perfect for that cooler, it fits with a few mm's to spare. Also, I wanted a 120mm rear exhaust fan and the XL is the only model that has a place for it. The craftsmanship of the case is straight up on point. I'm really impressed. You really do get what you pay for, and I am glad that I spend the extra $ to get a case worthy of my build. Building in the O11 XL was a good experience. The size of the case allowed for ease of assembly and nothing was too cramped. For example, on the Meshify-C I had to use needle nosed pliers to get the CPU power cable inserted into the MB, since there was no room to get my hand in between the plug and top of the case. With the O11 XL, I had more than enough room to get my hand in there. With all the fans, controllers, etc. I have TONS of cables. Cable management in this case is great, the layout is perfect for hiding all the wires behind the MB. I like the cable shroud panel in the back as well, it helps hide the insanity lol. The openings in the front are well-placed with nice rubber grommets, allowing me to have the cleanest looking build yet. The versatility of this case is a big plus. I was able to move the PSU up to the middle, remove one of the hot swap trays, and use the top one for my hard drive, thus allowing space at the bottom for the fan controllers and PWM hubs. Placing and mounting all 10 of my fans was easy, I really like that the SSD trays are removable, with one more plate to hide the gap when using 3 120mm fans on the side. I also love the 3 fan tray on the bottom, it made mounting those 3 intake fans a breeze. Currently I have the 3 side and bottom fans as intake and the 3 top and 1 rear as exhaust for a slightly positive pressure air flow setup. I am slowly migrating to all Corsair QL fans, as the white really matches up well with the case color, and these fans have rear LED rings as well, so whether I mount them as intake or exhaust, there's no compromise in LED visibility. So what about temps? Same as the Meshify. CPU temps at idle in 30's, full load in 60's. GPU junction temps when playing graphics intensive games like GOW5 is 70s-80s. Nice. I LOVE THE GPU BRACKET! My sapphire pulse GPU is pretty long and it has a bit of a sag. In the Meshify, I used a GPU stand, but I realized that I couldn't use a stand on the O11 XL, since the bottom fans would be in the way. Lian Li thought of everything though, and included a GPU bracket that can support up to 2 GPUs. As I was building, I noticed the instructions recommended putting the bracket hardware on the 2 MB mounting screws just to the left of the right edge. However, the heatsink of my MB PCH was too thick. No problem, I just installed the bracket on the two outermost mount points, and it just cleared my SSD ports and works great! GPU is nice and level. This case is so well built that DB levels with all 10 fans running is quite low, and air flow is more than sufficient for proper temps both at idle and under full load stress tests. Pretty much no difference from the open front design of the Meshify C. All in all, am I glad I got this case? HELL YES I AM. It looks great, performs great, and has all the room and options I need for both now and in the future. I definitely recommend it!

This case is a gem! The Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL is one of the best cases I’ve had the pleasure of using. The build quality is exceptional, made entirely of aluminum and tempered glass, giving it a premium look. The modular design is incredibly versatile, offering great flexibility to place all your PC components in an organized and efficient manner. It has a huge interior space, making it easy to fit large components like graphics cards and liquid cooling systems. Additionally, the airflow is excellent thanks to its optimized ventilation design and compatibility with multiple cooling options. Cable management is easy, with plenty of pass-throughs and space to keep everything tidy. The ventilation is superb, and with the ability to add up to 9 fans, it ensures outstanding thermal performance, even with high-performance setups. Overall, the Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL is a top-tier case that’s not only functional but also visually stunning. Highly recommended!

This case is great. Read on for my experience. First, hardware specs: -Intel i7-11700k -MSI MPG Z590 Tomahawk Motherboard -Venroo U6Pro CPU fan -Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB DDR4 3000Mhz -EVGA RTX 2080ti -EVGA SuperNOVA 1000w Fully Modular -Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVME 500GB -Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SATA SSD -9x Lian Li UNI AL fans Purpose: I bought this case as a replacement to a previous case which had terrible airflow. This case was recommended to me from a friend, and the positive YouTube reviews were compelling enough for me to make the purchase. Arrival: This case is a full-sized case, and it's big and heavy. I'm 5'4"/115lbs and due to the nature of the size of the box, I struggled a bit to get the case out of the box - My arms are too short. The case was packaged well, and I had no concerns of lack of protection. Unboxing: Inside the box, there was obviously the case. In addition, it came with a pretty terrible manual which didn't explain much. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see it came with a storage container with a variety of screws. While each screw type was individually packaged, it was nice to have an immediate storage container for mounting hardware. A nice welcome considering I don't have a "work area", and this was a kitchen table project. Case disassembly: I have a minor complaint with the case disassembly. You can't remove the side panel without removing the top of the case. I'm saying this is a minor complaint as it's not difficult to take apart the case. No tools are necessary, although I did use a screwdriver to loosen the screw which secures the swappable disk drive bays. Either my grip strength is awful, or they're incredibly tight. Whatever. Moving on! The top of the case is removed by a sliding button on the rear of the case. After the top is removed, the tempered glass panel and the metal side panel slide straight up. Easy peesy. Interior quality: Overall constructions and materials are great. I had no concerns about something cracking if I had torqued a fan screw too much. The top and side panels have magnetic dust filters, and there is a slide out dust filter for the bottom. There are two dogs in this house, and pet fur is always an issue. Relating to my minor complaint above, I wish I didn't have to take the top off to remove the side panel in order to clean the dust filters. At least, the bottom dust filter is ridiculously easy to remove and install. Cable management: I saw there are some complaints in other reviews relating to cable management. I didn't have any issues. There is a ton of space on the back side of the case. And I even added extension cables to my power supply. A couple cable ties to coil up the excess resulted in a clean install both in the front and back. The power supply also installs in the back so it is not visible through the tempered glass panel. Swappable hard drive bays: This case comes with four bays. I removed one of them as I didn't need it. Mounting the drives was easy, and there were no alignment issues with sliding the drives into the SATA ports. Each port has a SATA cable and power which need to be connected. Front panel: The case has an RGB strip which is controlled with a button. Each time you press the button, you switch to a preset design/color. A cool feature, but I never change it because I honestly forget it exists. There are two USB ports on the top front and two on the bottom front so whether you keep your PC on the floor or on your desk, there's something for everyone. There are TWO USB 3.0 connectors, and my motherboard only has one USB 3.0 header so I am not using the front bottom USB ports. Check your motherboard to see if you have more than one USB 3.0 header on it. Otherwise, you'll be buying a PCIE USB 3.0 card. The USB-C port on the front is a nice touch as my previous case did not have this option, so I had to use the USB-C port on the motherboard which was inconvenient. First world problems, I tell you. One minor challenge: This isn't really a problem with the case, however it's more of a problem relating to Lian Li's thought regarding its other case accessories. Due to the size of my CPU cooler, I'm unable to utilize the PCIE x16 slot on my motherboard. I debating on purchasing the vertical mounting bracket from Lian Li, but according to their reviews, it only leaves a couple of millimeters of space between the GPU and the tempered glass panel. If they're going to offer a vertical mount, perhaps they should build the cases a bit wider - although this case is already pretty large. I don't know. If it's already this big, what's another inch and a half in width? But this isn't really a problem with the case but more of a problem relating to a combination of my choice of CPU cooler as well as motherboard since I probably should get one with more x16 slots. Obviously, I did not reduce my rating because of it. CPU Temperatures: Of course, mileage may vary as it depends on your hardware, fans, cable management, etc. Keep in mind the i7-11700k is notorious for running extremely hot. In this case, temperatures have been fantastic. I haven't seen anything above 74C degrees during a 15-minute CPU stress test. At idle, temperatures sit around 30C degrees. GPU Temperatures: Same disclaimer as above as you may get different results, but during gaming at 1440p/105fps, I haven't seen GPU temperatures over 65C. At idle, temperatures sit around 45C degrees. Summary: Buy the case. You'll like it. If it has a genie which can grant wishes, I have yet to discover its ability. But considering the great job Lian Li has done with the case, I wouldn't be surprised.

First enthusiast case of my own. It's so nice. I can't stop looking at it. I still need more fans but it's so pretty, man. I didn't think it would look this good in person. With the weight of all my components and the case itself, it's gotta be pushing 30lbs. Very sturdy/thick materials. I like how modular everything is (there are removable slats for everything). The space allotted to your PSU and cabling is deceptively huge. Just looking at the case, you might think that your PSU won't possibly fit in that slim of a compartment, but mine is enormous and it fit with room to spare. It's gotta be some kind of optical illusion. Speaking of, cabling was a breeze. I'm not done yet, don't judge. I'm just trying to say that there are ample ports all over the place that make it easy to pack your stuff in there without a mass of mustard and ketchup colored wiring. I need 5 more fans and some RGB cable extensions. It still looks so freakin good. Lian li is the best for a reason. I am so glad I went with them instead of those SAMA cases that are always so cheap on newegg. I checked the weight of all the cases I was considering, thinking that it means higher-quality, and this one won. I got it for $150. You can get the newer Dynamic Evo XLs for like $100 more but this one is still such a head-turner. Just buy it if the price is reasonable. You will not regret it.
