Does this come with bottom metal for a mag

Negative,the bottom metal has not been produced by magpul just yet.  Or they have not shipped these as yet...we have had them on backorder now for several months, waiting.......Please do your research on magpul's website and forums, Amazon listings are not really a good source of confirmed, quality information, as many sellers do not list their items correctly.Sincerely,shs, ceo  Rock Mountain Tactical

i have a Remington 700 sps in a 223 do the make a detachable mag kit for the 223

I have a Remington 700 Police in 223, I placed it in a Magpul Hunter Stock and bought the Magwell kit that had the 5 rd 7.62 mag. I instead ordered a Accurate Mag 10rd magazine to use instead.it worked just fine I loaded rounds in the mag to make sure it cycled properly and it did. CAUTION: Be careful to set the safety on and make sure the muzzle is pointing in a safe place. the 223 being ashort action. The magazine is from Accurate Mag and it is metal. I love it.

Question 3

My remington 700 does not have a hinged floor plate.  it looks like i would need that to use this stock.  what are my options?

If your rifle is a .308 I would definitely go with the magwell kit over a traditional floor plate internal magazine set up. You will definitely be far happier and Magpul has both 5 and 10 round mags available  and you can find 3 pack deals on magazines at Brownells and other traditional sources. They are AICS pattern Magazines so thats good i believe that the  metal body mags will also work but I will have to check them to be sure. But the metal  body AICS mags have a several different options besides  the traditional 5 and 10 round  mags. Such as 1 rnd, 2rnds, 3rnds and I think they still have a 7 rnd version available  but that might be an old Remington detachable magazine.  But I would have to check my magazine boxes at my warehouse and work shop to be positive.  But for about $50 to use a detachable box magazine is very nice they typically can cost as much as a few hundred dollars for just the magwell kit for the trigger guard/magwell bottom metal assembly,  and a 5rnd metal body mag. The metal body high end mags run around $65 a mag and the 7.62 pmags are about $45 each so they are less money and my initial thoughts are they are just as nice and function just as well they are less expensive and I like the pmags more at this point and are definitely worth the price. They also look better in the rifle.
