Had broken battery post on golf cart, used this and a threaded insert to repair. Bit worked great, just have to drill slow in lead and clean the filings out as you go. Tap worked well, again went slow and cleaned as I went. Cart is now going again.

Fantastic quality, i was shocked at how well this tap cut. I dont think ive ever had a tap this high quality. No forcing it or cranking on it or any risk at all of breaking it. Drill bit was extremly share and strong as well. Great price and im happy. I bought 2 in case i broke one and will be returning the second. The first one is practically new aftering tapping. Great quality 100%.

Good product. Good price. But the reason for 4 stars is that I found this one to not last quite as long as some others I purchased at a hardware store. They broke pretty quickly unfortunately. But they did what I needed.

I used this to clean out the mx6 1.0 nutserts for my Jeep Gladiator to install a bed-mounted tie-down system. The built-in nuts got 2 part epoxy bedliner into the nut holes. This reamed out the threads almost perfectly, though I did notice some metal filings with the epoxy powder. Slow and easy is what works best when using an ite, like this. I did not use the included 5mm drill bit.

I purchased this tap set so when I had time Id install a couple screws on my tractor to mount hardware, I predrilled the holes with my drill bit then sent in the one that came in the set, soon as I went to tap the hole, it immediately snapped off. I started it slow, backed it off then a little more and snap, it fractured in to many pieces. This tap metal quality is not at all acceptable and since i purchased last month I can't return it. I would not waste your time and money on this inferior product!

I had to drill 2 holes to secure a license plate to a bumper. The steel was 5/32 thick and the drill bit zipped right through! It is great to have the exact thread tap hole the hole drilled! Awesome product. You do a lot of fab work and these make it so easy
