Apple crisp is not difficult to make, but this mix is a wonder when pressed for time. It is a dry mix to which you add your own softened butter. Peel and cut up some firm apples (not Macs). Add a little sugar and spice to them. Place in a greased 8” square pan, crumble the topping all over it, and you have an excellent apple crisp in the oven less than 15 minutes after you began. I baked it until the edges were bubbling, to make sure the apples were soft, so it was about 45-50 minutes in the oven. Yum.

My family loves this Apple Crisp recipe, especially my daughter who wanted some during our "shelter in place" mandate during the corona virus pandemic. I was able to find this on Amazon as this is only a seasonal item in my grocery store. My daughter was counting down the days until she could help me bake her favorite dessert, and we were pleasantly surprised when the package arrived a full day ahead of schedule!The shipping box was in perfect condition which is why I was surprised when I opened it up and saw nothing but powdered mix all over the inside of the box. The six boxes of Apple Crisp were shrink wrapped together (obviously from the manufacturer) and there was evidence of leakage inside the shrink wrap. I am very upset as someone should have noticed the issue prior to shipping it. Still hoping for the best I opened the shrink wrap and separated the boxes. The front box felt the lightest and I opened it up to investigate. I was disappointed to find the internal pouch was ruptured and over 50% of the contents had leaked out. The next box in line also had a ruptured internal pouch and so did the last box. So 3 out of 6 boxes didn't make, proceed with caution and don't set your hopes too high.Lastly 2 is 1, and 1 is none....

I made sliced baked apples. Used this topping was very easy to mix. Came out perfect.
