I bought one just like this one about four years ago and it is still like new. My signficant other's birthday was comming up in September, so I asked her what she wanted, she replied a new suitcase. I went on AMAZON in march and they had the Swiss Gear Sion Softside Expandable Luggage in a 25 inch on sale for $110.00. I opened up an account with AMAZON and i got a free gift card for $80.00, I used to buy the luggage she wanted. The final cost was about $40.00. I looked at the color choices and bought the Teal color on, she loves it. This suit case is well built and has allot of room for cloths. The wheels are very sturdy and can spin around freely. It is light weight and easy to handle. There is a handle on the bottom and the side of the suitcase The top handle is made of strong metal and pulls out very easily, their is a release button on thop of the handle. It look good and is expnadable. The zippers are not cheap ones, they are very sturdy. This suitcase is comfortable to handle. The material is a very strong material and I never had any problems with it. Before I bought this suit case I read the reviews and what people had to say about this suitcase. Most of the reviews were very good. I basically went with my experince with the same one I bought four years ago and have done allot of travel with it. This suit case is built bullet proof. When you have a well built luggage like the SwissGear Sion Softside Expandable Luggage you take good care of it. It will last and perform like new for years. So if your in the market for a 25 inch check out SwisGear Sion Expandable Luggage you won't go wrong if you buy one. A buck well spent is a buck well spent. This piece of luggage is the best bang for your buck.

I took it on my holiday trip and it held up beautifully. I got the medium size. Not too big, not too small. It held 10 days worth of clothes & items including a heavy winter coat with room to spare. It does have to be checked, but the extra space was worth waiting at the baggage carousel. I recommend this suitcase.

Update: 1/20/2026 - After months of not hearing anything, I got an email that my warranty claim had been approved and processed. It said that they had a technical problem so a bunch of warranty emails got orphaned and not processed. They sent me an online coupon for a free replacement, so I have ordered the same bag. I hope that the wheel issue does not reoccur but will update here as time goes by.... We loved this bag when we first got it. Lightweight, spacious and seemingly well made. After less than a dozen international trips the wheels started failing. There is a rubber outer portion on a hard center and unfortunately if you pull it along in a tilted position rather than only upright as a spinner, the rubber quickly wears unevenly and then jams the wheel. I THOUGHT that wouldn't be an issue since they have a 10-year warranty but I filled out the claim ages ago and have just been ghosted by them. Some quick online research shows this is very common with lots of complaints about the same experience. Unfortunate. If not for the wheels and the horrible customer service this would have been a great bag.

We needed some some luggage and something we could quickly identify on the baggage carousel at airports. This is a nice vibrant blue with a red and white Swiss flag on it. The wheels rotate and it is light weight when empty and manageable when filled. We like these two pieces well enough to buy a third- the 25".

I bought this bag when one of my old bags broke down on an out of town trip. I was able to order on Amazon and had the bag delivered the next day in time for me to continue my trip. The bag is a good, middle of the road option and it does everything I need it to do. In green, it is also pleasant to look at and works well for either sex.

Full disclosure: I am a paralyzed traveler. I need a carry-on that is rock solid in terms of functionality and durability. I’ve used this luggage extensively in the six months that I’ve owned it. My limited mobility makes me hard on my luggage. I bought this product to replace a very expensive Hartman carry on. I also a big T. Anthony fan/purchaser. I have high standards. I’m blown away by this item, especially given its v affordable price point. There is a lot of great to say about this luggage: First, it is perfectly designed in that there are two outside pockets that are perfect for carrying a billfold, cell phone, etc. They do not interfere with being able to open the luggage completely or partially in terms of accessing the main storage area. This is quite clever. Second, inside, it is super sturdy with an interior metal frame. The wheels are super solid and roll well with little resistance. Nice touches include a large dedicated pocket for dirty laundry and a separate toiletries pocket. U won’t need to pack a separate dop kit (saving space). The telescoping handle works well. If I had one improvement in the design, it would be to allow this handle to lock before full extension. I lock my luggage when I leave my hotel room. The zippers have holes at the end to facilitate this. I also like that the handle for carrying the luggage horizontally, is exceptionally strong and perfect for my lock so that I may store it under my bed to lock it to the bed frame. Last, I purchased mine in Royal Navy blue. I must say with the Swiss flag in red and white, it is stylish indeed! I very much look forward to packing it and loading it for my next adventure. Also, I am not a paid reviewer or so-called influencer. Just a happy customer.

I have had this bag for 3 years now (purchased in 2022). The Cons: Overall it held up alright but I would not recommend the lighter grey color. It understandably got extremely dirty, stained and banged up after a 2 trips because of the soft fabric, not the biggest deal but I do wish I picked a darker color. I am an avid traveller (that packs a LOT) and travelled with it every month or so and now it’s finally time to retire it. After 3 years the bottom of it has started to crack, the wheels are no longer straight and are wobbly, the handle won’t extend past the first notch, and the outside of it is quite banged up and dirty. The pros: it holds a lot! The outside has two zipper compartments one very large and one smaller. The inside has the standard mesh zip compartment on the one side that’s the entire size of the panel, and the main part of the suitcase is large and deep. The suitcase also expands along the zipper if needed. The wheels are 360 and the handle worked great at the start. Overall a good suitcase if you are a lighter Traveller and looking for something that holds a good amount of items. I do wish it would have lasted longer/for more years and that I had bought a darker color, but if you only plan to travel with it minimally, it would be a good fit. I most likely will purchase a different brand that will have longer durability and longevity.
